I called my OB-GYN back on December 3rd, and she sent over an electronic referral for some blood work. I was wondering how long those orders stay valid? I guess between a few different commitments and feeling under the weather, I haven't been able to get to the lab yet, so I probably won't be able to make it in until sometime next week.

I think I’ll start a new thread here. I’ve been dealing with some back pain for a few years now, but I’ve just been putting off seeing a doctor. I’m still relatively new to Washington, D.C., so I haven't really found my footing yet—though, honestly, I’ve never been great about navigating the medical system anyway, so I’m not even entirely sure if this is the right specialty for me 😁).

Does anyone have recommendations on which specialist or clinic I should look into? I'm wondering how the scheduling works, what the wait times are usually like, and if I definitely need a referral first. I wasn't sure if the process is still the same as what was mentioned in the previous thread or if things have changed recently. I suppose I’ll probably need a full spinal workup, maybe some X-rays, and possibly even a checkup on my feet too.
