I’m looking for recommendations for a solid endocrinologist and an immunologist or rheumatologist in Washington, D.C.
Location and cost aren't issues; I just need someone who actually knows what they're doing.
(I have Hashimoto's, but for nearly five months now, I've been struggling with chronic back pain. Initially, they told me it was localized disc pressure on a nerve root (L5-S1), but the symptoms are far too non-specific—they're scattered all over my body and fluctuate daily. I never had any issues with my back before this. Right now, my biggest problems, aside from constant pain and discomfort in my hip and lower back, are a low-grade fever (99.7°F), vision issues, and breathing difficulties.)
Please help if anyone has dealt with similar (unpleasant) experiences; I am completely fed up with being brushed off by hospitals and hit with medical roadblocks. 🙂

Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid neurologist or neurosurgeon in Washington, D.C.?
(By a good doctor, I mean someone who won't just tell me I'm making up this back pain, especially since my MRI clearly shows a disc protrusion pressing against the dural sac... Ideally, I'd like someone capable of reviewing the actual MRI scans themselves to give an independent opinion. This has been dragging on for months now, and things are getting worse—I've started having urinary issues and I can't even move properly. I'm willing to pay whatever is necessary; I simply cannot wait any longer 😢 )
