Body acne help?

My cousin gave birth ten months ago. She didn't have a single stretch mark during the pregnancy, yet now her entire abdomen is covered in them. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is it possible for them to appear simply because the stomach is shrinking, more or less rapidly?
