Spine issues: getting a diagnosis in Health ·
I noticed this guy used to be all over those old medical forums back in the day. I tried checking some of those threads myself, but honestly, it looks like those boards are totally dead—the last post was from way back in 2002.
Anyway, if anyone out there actually knows whether this guy runs a private practice or not, please hit me up. Based on what people were saying on those old forums and what you’ve told me, he seems like a solid choice. And yeah, you're probably right about not going through official channels. There'd be zero point in making it "official"—I'd probably get blacklisted by the hospital administration within two months, and don't even get me started on the endless red tape and headaches you deal with in the American healthcare system.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast, appreciate it.

You’re spot on. Seriously, you hit the nail on the head regarding both the government clinics and the actual diagnosis. "Cervicocephale syndrome"—give me a break! What a joke. That’s basically their specialty: slap a fancy-sounding label on you, hand you some TENS unit, tell you to go do some stretches, and call it a day. At least the exercises might actually do something, but the diagnosis? Pure smoke and mirrors.

I went to a private physical therapist once and they tried some different electrical stim and ultrasound setups, but I realized pretty much instantly that none of it was hitting the actual issue. When I mentioned that I was feeling this sharp pain right between my shoulder blades, the woman just gave me this half-hearted shrug and goes, "Oh, yeah, one of your vertebrae is sticking out right there..." And that was it. No real plan, nothing. She just kept running the machines and made sure to charge me full price for it. 😕

Anyway, I’m really hoping someone here can drop some names of other clinics or specialists—I’d love to actually have an option that isn't a total waste of time.

Thanks for the reply.

Can anyone point me toward a decent clinic or physical therapy center where I can actually get a high-end diagnostic workup done on my cervical and thoracic spine? I’m looking for more than just basic X-rays—I want something that digs into the muscle condition, ligaments, and all that good stuff. Honestly, I’m fed up with the diagnoses I’ve been getting so far. It feels like every time I see a new doctor, I get a completely different story, and none of the treatments have actually stuck. I was reading online that if you find a place with the right tech and some actual expertise, they can pinpoint exactly which muscle, ligament, tendon, or vertebra is the culprit. That way, you get a targeted exercise plan instead of some generic "you have neck issues" brush-off followed by three basic stretches that barely do anything.
I've been dealing with this mess for nearly two years now, and it's likely leftover baggage from a car accident and a broken scapula I had about a decade ago.

Thanks in advance

P. S. Please, for the love of God, don't suggest any of those run-down public clinics like the ones run by Božidarević. I’ve been there, and frankly, the experience left me feeling pretty miserable. I am more than willing to pay out of pocket if I feel like the service is actually going to help me.
