Look, I've been smoking weed "recreationally" for ten years now—maybe five times a year, tops—and it never even crossed my mind to try anything else. Just saying, when I'm high, my brain hits 100 miles per hour; some of my absolute best business breakthroughs happened while I was stoned. I'm self-employed, things are going great, and I don't see any issue with lighting up once in a while. If someone wants to buy weed, they can find it just by asking for "cookies," so honestly, it would be way better to just legalize it. That way the government actually gets a cut instead of just all the dealers. Though, let's be real, in this country, some politician would probably end up being the exclusive distributor anyway.
