Just wanted to jump in on this thread for a second...
So, I’m a colorblind person, more or less...
I’ve actually been through the physical exam at the DMV a few times now, and every single time, I just can't seem to make sense of those little numbers and letters inside the colored patterns—to be totally honest, it’s the green and red ones that trip me up...
But hey, I’ve still got my driver's license, so it's fine...
What I don't get, though, is what the actual deal is here?? Like, how can someone look at me and claim I can't distinguish colors when I know perfectly well what red looks like and what green looks like...🤷
How am I supposed to be "blind" to them? In my day-to-day life, I recognize those colors without any trouble at all, it’s just during those specific tests where everything goes sideways...
And honestly, the absolute worst part is when people have the nerve to ask, "How can you be colorblind?" because, for heaven's sake, it's not like I chose this...😢
