You really need to book your appointment between days 2 and 4 of your cycle. I didn't bother booking ahead—my doctor told me it wasn't necessary—and I ended up having to get into a bit of a standoff at the clinic front desk just to be seen. I had to make them understand that my flow is completely unpredictable, especially since this period came right after hormone therapy, and they have to squeeze me in because there’s no telling when the next one will show up.
