Alright, here’s the situation: the other day I picked up five referrals for various tests, including bloodwork for tumor markers. I’m supposed to get this done ASAP, but the doctor who wrote them didn't bother telling me where or when to show up, so now I’m just stuck. I have no clue if I can just walk into any local clinic or lab, flash these papers, and they'll tell me when to come back, or what the actual process is. I need three different blood panels done (including those markers), and I'm wondering if I can just handle that at my primary care clinic—back in the day, all my bloodwork was always done right there at the doctor's office. Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me exactly what to say? Like I said, the paperwork doesn't specify a location or a time, and my doctor left me hanging. Also, I need to know where to drop off urine and semen samples. And more importantly, what kind of containers am I supposed to use for those? I heard that some places where you drop off samples also perform urethral swabs on the spot, but I'm not entirely sure. Any help would be appreciated; this is pretty urgent.
