Israel launches 4000 km range missile in World ·
The mainstream Western media might be staying quiet on this one, but it happened right in front of thousands of New Yorkers.
In the end, everyone stands to gain from Ahmedinejad. While Americans pour weapons into Arab nations across the Persian Gulf, the Israeli military machine continues to refine its own missile tech. This just gives the Iranians another excuse to claim they're under threat, allowing them to keep pushing their own rocket development forward...
You have to find a silver lining in every dark cloud.🤣

Golden year Queen Elizabeth in Movies ·
Rating: -4

Take a look if you happen to be interested in bygone eras—specifically a shift from the present back about two hours or just a visual feast of old-fashioned times. My rating is primarily based on the fact that the actors did such an incredible job that they managed to keep the film well above average. Between them, Mary Stewart, and King Philip, everyone is deeply convincing. The film truly shines when depicting war preparations, international intrigue, and life within the court; therefore, don't go in expecting fifteen-minute naval battles, rivers of blood, or scenes made by Gibson it’s just not that kind of movie. Best scene: Raleigh offering potatoes to the Queen as a gift.

Characters:
Queen Elizabeth (Cate Blanchett) - expertly portrayed; I believe she came the closest to the actual historical figure of the Queen 🙂
Sir Walter Raleigh (Clive Owen) - a bit of a surprise to me; he was very good in this pirate role, though I hadn't really noticed his range before... 🙂
The Ambassador of Spain - if this weren't a movie, I'd say the guy was a total son of a bitch. 😁
USA recognizes Armenian Genocide in World ·
I’ve spent quite a bit of time writing about the grim news trickling out of Washington, D.C., and how greedy politicians seem to be the norm, but now I find myself compelled to write something positive. I am anticipating that the House will follow suit and confirm the foreign affairs committee's vote.
If anyone here happens to be well-versed in the political maneuvering behind this—specifically regarding how the Democrats are timing this particular *strike*—please do share your insights.

Here is more broad-spectrum propaganda for you. It would take the tabloids here in America centuries to even come close to the level of Fox News.

fadedraven212, that's a bit simplistic for the masses; here is something more substantial for those with discerning ears, sourced from an American commander, John Abizaid, via news outlets.
"There are ways to coexist with a nuclear Iran. We have faced it before; we lived through a nuclear Soviet Union, we live alongside a nuclear China, and we similarly exist alongside other nuclear powers," Abizaid noted. 😍 😬

Except, none of those nations are located right here in the Persian Gulf.
