Does anyone know what this discharge might be? 🤷
I went to see my doctor about this mucus situation; I've had enough of it. I'm scheduled for some stool tests and blood work next week to get to the bottom of things. I don't have any actual pain or bleeding, just this constant mucus that keeps sending me to the bathroom—it's just a little bit at a time. Once I actually have a real bowel movement, it's soft, but not pencil-thin like people say; it seems like a normal thickness once it finally arrives. 😠Well, I just finished in the restroom, and yeah, it was soft and a normal size, but what does that even matter if it's probably just going to trigger more of that mucus later on...
But there isn't any bleeding at all, just mucus. I honestly don't even know if it's hemorrhoids, but when I strain, something bulges out—it basically "protrudes" from its spot—and then once I'm finished in the restroom, it settles back down inside. Plus, I have this constant sensation that I need to go; it’s just small amounts at first until a real bowel movement finally happens.
Ugh, I hate this. The bleeding has stopped, but I feel like something internal just slips out whenever I'm in the restroom, though it seems to slide right back in immediately. I can actually feel the "bulge" when I check with my finger, and I can push it back in easily—exactly how it's described. I guess there isn't any over-the-counter cream that could actually help with this?
Yeah, I guess a break is needed now. The real issue with trying to go before bed is this constant sensation that I need to use the bathroom when I actually can't; it's just a false urge, and honestly, that’s what irritates me the most. I sit down and nothing happens, yet I feel this "pressure" all day long. I'm just waiting for it to stop—it's more bothersome than any bleeding. I was just in there a moment ago, though; no blood, just noticed some mucus, and the stool was small, which makes sense since I haven't been eating much lately. I even put a pillow on the toilet seat just to make sitting more comfortable, lol, though I spend most of my days on the couch anyway. I think I'll skip dinner tonight—maybe just some yogurt and water should be enough. It really is nice being healthy...
Yeah, there’s really no other way. I know, right now I’m sticking to the south—veggies, fruit, light meals. There hasn't been any blood, but today I did notice some mucus, nothing major, but it was visible. Is that better than blood, or is it just as bad 🙄 ? Or maybe it's the same 🙄
Hang in there. I can only imagine what you're going through; seeing a little blood actually spooked me (I'm not usually squeamish, I don't mind visible injuries since I play sports—breaks and sprains are normal for me—but this comes from a "different" place, and it's unsettling). Something like what happened to you... uh, I actually got chills reading those last three phases.
Glad you reached out today; I have some new updates to share. The bleeding has actually stopped. Since I changed my diet—basically just eating whatever was easiest at the moment—there’s no more blood at all, not even a trace when wiping. It feels a bit strange how sudden this change was, though I suppose it might be related to the fact that my stools have been soft lately instead of hard like they used to be. 😕

In reality, it’s likely just hard stool passing through an inflamed area, which scrapes those surface capillaries and triggers bleeding. I guess you might try taking Detralex, but maybe you should consult a primary care physician first.
So, it's not hemorrhoids? You mean it won't resolve on its own just by changing my diet or using various creams, and I actually have to see a doctor? Because I should mention, there is a slight stinging sensation when I touch the area or apply pressure—nothing extreme, but it's definitely there.
Well, here I am joining this "cheerful" group. I noticed a problem about a month ago; there was a little blood on the paper after using the bathroom. It didn't surprise me much since I've dealt with stuff like this before, but usually, it would last a day or two and then clear up. This time, it hasn't, and honestly, it seems to be getting worse. After one particular wipe, there was more blood than usual and I started to panic. 😁 I spend most of my day sitting at a computer, and lately, my diet has been pretty dry, so I recognize all the typical causes for hemorrhoids. My father deals with them too, so there's definitely a genetic predisposition here. I suppose I'm lucky that they don't hurt on their own. When I feel around down there—applying a bit of pressure—I can feel a slight tenderness moving upward from the anus toward the lower back. I'm not sure how to describe the location perfectly, but it’s nothing compared to what I hear others complaining about regarding being unable to sit due to pain. The issue is that now, it feels like it "bursts" during every bowel movement. There's blood, though not a massive amount, just enough on the paper. I assume some sort of "sac" filled with blood keeps rupturing. Even though I've been careful with my diet lately—eating very strictly—and my stool has improved and isn't hard anymore, the bursting sensation persists. How can I calm it down? I know unless there's surgery, it can't be removed entirely. Should I watch my diet more, or maybe apply something to the area? I should note that I can feel it under my finger right at the top, yet it doesn't hurt when I'm sitting or even during the actual movement.
Thanks for any help.
edit: I just read through some of the recent posts, and it sounds like I might have internal ones, which would explain why they bleed without causing pain. I'm feeling a bit calmer now 😁 but still, how do I soothe internal hemorrhoids?
