Dealing with hemorrhoids
in Health ·
So, I went in for a colonoscopy less than a year ago. The results were what I’d call "neatly messy." Basically, everything looks fine—no signs of tumors, no polyps, no damage, not even hemorrhoids... yet there are traces of blood showing up and nobody can tell me where the hell it's coming from. I went for follow-up tests on my small intestine, and those came back perfectly clean too. Everything is consistently "normal" on paper, yet the problems just won't quit. Then, I decided to pivot to a much lighter diet—I cut out EVERYTHING carbonated, spicy, or heavily roasted, and started chugging water, about two liters a day, and since then, things have improved drastically. No more issues. Well, up until now.
The only real change is that my stools aren't narrow anymore, and the pain has dialed down just a tiny bit. It might be the food, since I switched to a bland, mostly liquid-based diet. Honestly, I don't see myself going back to the doctor anytime soon because, frankly, the whole medical system feels like pure EVIL after being bounced between four different doctors for the exact same issue. My trust is completely shot. That’s why I’m hanging out here on this forum, trying to figure everything out on my own... I read up on symptoms on medical sites, but this forum is where you go for real-world experience. There isn't a single person in this world who is the ONLY one suffering from something, so you can always find help here through people's lived experiences, which is ten times better than some doctor who hasn't got a clue—especially in my city, not to mention where I'm from.
So, the symptoms I'm dealing with right now are still pretty much the same—pain deep inside the large intestine area, especially when I'm straining or trying to go. I don't get cramps. No blood. No nausea. The stool is soft, though passing it is still pretty difficult, but at least it’s not thin like it was at the beginning. It doesn't burn. It’s just this dull ache, like I took a hit to the gut, though I definitely didn't.
