They excised the hemorrhoids, and I think the area was cauterized afterward because there are no stitches! I had three internal and three external ones. I was discharged after three days in the hospital. I’m keeping the pain under control with Voltaren Rapid tablets and feeling great. The only real challenge is the diet. You absolutely have to follow the instructions to the letter, because if your stool gets hard, you are in for a world of hurt. Stick to a high-fiber diet and drink plenty of probiotic yogurts. Thank God they are easy to find everywhere these days!
