Has anyone here actually gone through surgery for an anal fissure?
So, I thought once they drained my perianal abscess, I was finally in the clear. Boy, was I wrong. This fissure has been kicking my ass for almost 7 weeks now, and it just won't heal. I went in for a colonoscopy—everything looks fine up higher—but they're giving me grief over "just" some bleeding hemorrhoids (they can't even decide if it's grade II or III) and this damn fissure. At this rate, it's looking like it’ll turn chronic, which means surgery is probably on the horizon. Because of that, I need to do my homework and figure out where to get this handled properly (ideally getting both the hemorrhoids and the fissure dealt with at once).

Thanks in advance.

Lawrence Walker37 said:I did it and I'm done... hopefully for good. The whole procedure takes about 15-20 minutes; they give you local anesthesia in the area and then the doctor gets to work. You feel some pain while the doctor is working, especially during the artery ligation part, but it's manageable—you can handle it. After the surgery, there's just some minor discomfort, nothing crazy, so a couple of Advil tablets take care of that.

So, if you're all sitting there wondering what to do about your hemorrhoids and thinking THD might be the move (you get an exam first to see if you're even a candidate—I had stage III myself), go for it.

God help us all.

Must be nice. I really hope you've put those struggles behind you. I'm not ready for surgery yet. I'm still stuck on Medazol after dealing with a nasty abscess that probably flared up because of my inflamed hemorrhoids. Even after feeling way better (I was at the hospital yesterday for an anoscopy with a veteran proctologist who insisted I'm improving), today the pain and burning are back in full force. My doctor barely mentioned THD and basically told me I don't need surgery and should just listen to him. But man, I just want this misery gone forever—at least, that's the dream. I can't deal with this anymore. At my next check-up, I’m going to show him the info on THD and get his actual expert opinion. I didn't want to push the issue while I was in this state anyway. And let me tell you, "this state" means I couldn't sit, lie down, stand, or walk. Nothing. My advice: if you have hemorrhoids and you start getting chills, muscle spasms, a fever, or a weird waddling gait along with bleeding and pain after a BM, get to a proctologist immediately, regardless of how much the exam is going to suck. I made it just in time (literally the day after I hit a 99.5°F fever). The fact that I had a fever alongside the hemorrhoids seemed sketchy, so I did some digging online, realized it wasn't okay, and headed to the hospital. My private specialist wanted to jump straight to a procedure five days ago, but he probably would've seen the infection in my blood work and backed off anyway.
Anyway, I've decided to play by the rules and listen to this experienced proctologist. If that's what he says, that's what I'll do, because I've learned the hard way that neither Pilex, nor Anuice, nor some herbal salve or homeopathy is doing squat.
If this inflammation settles down and the doctor confirms THD is the right call, then I'm in. In the meantime, Amy Cooper2, please keep us posted on how you're doing over the next few days. What's your take on that Israeli doctor? The guy was the president of the American Proctological Association for years. He definitely knows his stuff. I was actually hoping they'd use spinal anesthesia (that's what I'd ask for, anyway).

Last week, I got diagnosed with Noduli haemorrhoidales interni gr III sanguinans at a private clinic. I decided to hold off until next week when I’m scheduled for surgery in New York City using that new THD method. I really thought I could tough it out until then.
But man, after dealing with unbearable pain, bleeding after my morning bathroom trips, burning, chills, and finally running a fever (99.5°F), I hit my limit. I had to go find a proctologist at the hospital immediately.

The specialist at the hospital found out I actually have an early-stage PERIANAL ABSCESS (basically a pocket of pus). After they numbed me up with local anesthesia, the doctor cut the abscess open and drained the pus. Turns out, *that* was the source of the agonizing pain, not just the internal hemorrhoids (even though those were still bleeding). Basically, an inflammatory process kicked off—my Monocytes are high, CRP is at 24 (ref.
And here’s the kicker. I think this whole mess started about 15 days ago after I finished a course of KLAVOCIN and MEDAZOL that my dentist prescribed following some wisdom tooth surgery.

So, what’s the move?
Should I actually take the MEDAZOL? It’s heavy-duty stuff that messes with your stomach and gut, and I'm terrified it’s going to wreck my digestion even more. That's my biggest worry.

A homeopath is suggesting I try SILICA, which is supposedly good for draining up pus-filled abscesses.

Is it possible that the KLAVOCIN triggered some inflammation in my lower colon (PROCTITIS)? A friend who's a doctor mentioned that in cases like this, you use MEDAZOL to counter the nasty side effects caused by KLAVOCIN.
My friend is pushing the MEDAZOL, and my GP is also telling me to just follow the proctologist's orders to protect me from those damn anaerobic bacteria and stop another abscess from forming.

It looks like the antibiotics absolutely nuked my immune system. This isn't even my first rodeo; I first dealt with hemorrhoids exactly three years ago, which flared up big time after I had to take a heavy dose of SUMAMEDA.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Please, I need some advice.

My bad, Dennis Bennett43, I totally misread your earlier post. Just saw this morning that you already answered all my questions.
Thanks.

And one more doctor—this guy is constantly praising and recommending THD when answering patient questions, even though one patient had issues. Turns out that was just a weird case of prolapse, which THD isn't even meant for.

That's all I've got for now. If you're interested, you can try using an online translator to flip the Italian into English (though honestly, don't count on it being great—those tools aren't exactly medical experts when it comes to technical jargon).

I'm heading to bed; it's getting late. I've had enough of these hemorrhoids. They're giving me a massive headache (HAHAHAAA!!!!). Man, I'm in a good mood tonight. Tomorrow, though, it's back to square one. I definitely won't be laughing in the morning.
Goodnight

Olivia Doyle85 said:Look, if you don't mind sharing—which specialist are you seeing in San Francisco? I'm actually from the Bay Area myself, and I had my surgery done right here. Honestly, I think we're all just looking for the path of least resistance when it comes to surgery and recovery. Nobody wants a painful ordeal if they can help it.🙂Honestly, that method sounds pretty damn tempting. If you just look at how they describe it, logically speaking, it should actually work quite well. I ended up taking the harder route myself, but hey, I don't regret it one bit. Still, if I were you, I’d do a little more digging first. It would be a huge help if someone here who’s actually gone through that kind of procedure could weigh in.🙂
Anyway, just wait for Amy Cooper2 to get around to it and she'll give us the full rundown!🙂

Look, I don't want to get into names—hope you get what I'm saying—but I'll tell you this: we're talking about one of those big private clinics in San Francisco that handles hemorrhoid surgeries. I'm no proctologist, so I didn't quite grasp exactly which type of procedure they were performing (honestly, I was a bit shell-shocked when I hit a dead end), but they're claiming the recovery is painful. Well, "painful" is how they put it, anyway.
Did you go private at that clinic—I think they’re the only ones doing private procedures in San Francisco—or did you have it done at the hospital? When did you go under the knife? And honestly, how has the recovery been treating you?

Regarding my THD, I’ve got my appointment scheduled for February 25th in New York City, but honestly? I don't know if I'm going to make it that long. The pain after using the bathroom this morning was absolutely brutal. I can't sit, I can't lie down, I can't even stand up straight. I have no clue what to do—I'm seriously losing my mind here.

So, I spent my afternoon at a homeopath's office to see what she’d have to say for herself. Honestly, homeopathy might have actually worked for me last time, so I figured why not? The consultation was a total marathon—we sat there for two and a half hours. She grilled me on everything under the sun. We're talking my parents' medical history, my ancestors, every little illness I had as a kid, even the specific stressors I've dealt with throughout my life. She even got weirdly specific about whether I sweat much, if I’m a big drinker, or if I prefer hot versus cold food. It felt more like a session with a psychologist than a doctor. Based on this massive interview, she’s going to prescribe some classical homeopathic remedies tomorrow. She did give me some lard infused with calendula that she made herself. I spent about five or six minutes just slowly massaging the inside of my anus in a circular motion with my finger while she watched. Simple enough.

I'm thinking about heading out to see that herbalist Sadiković over in Ljubuški. I talked to him on the phone, and he was super confident—basically told me it’s no big deal and he can handle Grade 3 hemorrhoids easily. Has anyone on here actually gone to him specifically for chemical treatments or meds? I know a few people who went to him for other stuff, like heart arrhythmias, fertility issues, or migraines, and they swear he saved them.

I don't know if I'm going overboard with these "miracle cures," but when this burning pain hits, I’m honestly at my wits' end. I just want this misery to stop. I can't live, I can't work—I can't do anything. For the last week, my entire existence has boiled down to just ME and THIS. It's one against the other. And frankly, I'm tired of losing. Who's actually going to win this fight?

I’d honestly jump at the chance to go with that THD method, but I’m just not sure if my body can handle another two weeks of this agony. For now, I'm trying to get by using homeopathy or some herbal stuff just to take the edge off the pain until I can see a doctor. Let's be real though—I'm pretty sure surgery is in my future. Homeopathy and teas aren't going to fix anything; they're just a temporary band-aid to mask the problem for a little while. I've got Grade III hemorrhoids, one of them is actually bleeding, and the whole area feels completely inflamed. Every single thing I read online says the same thing: once you hit Stage III, you're looking at surgery.

Man, I was scrolling through some Italian medical forums last night and saw people saying even THD didn't do a damn thing for them. Honestly, I couldn't even focus on digging deeper today because the pain is absolutely killing me. Hopefully, once this settles down, I can actually get some real answers.

Are you kidding me? Is THD seriously not fixing this whole hemorrhoid mess completely?

HEY GUYS, let’s all get on Google together and actually dig up some real user reviews from outside this bubble to see what THD is actually like!

Because everything THDLab puts out or any PR article says is just "perfect." You show up, get fixed in thirty minutes, and walk out like nothing ever happened. And then—get this—they never even come back? It sounds too good to be true.

Just so we're clear, PILEX hasn't done a damn thing for me. I popped my 11th pill today, and I've still got three left. Is there any chance it finally kicks in at the end? Or did this stuff actually make things worse? Anyone else dealt with this crap?

Dennis Bennett43, when you said you didn't regret picking surgery as the harder route, does that mean the recovery pain isn't actually as brutal as what I'm going through right now? Also, is there a risk of it coming back based on the method they used?

Help me out, fellow sufferers!

Olivia Doyle85 said:So, I did some digging on that method, and from what I can tell, it works just like they say. I went with the classic surgery route myself (didn't have to pay a single cent at the hospital🙂), and my proctologist warned me straight up about the risks—like permanent damage to the sphincter muscle and losing control over bowel movements😲. But, there were pros too, specifically finally killing off the main hemorrhoids that keep feeding the secondary ones; once those are gone, the secondary swelling dies down. Either way, I saw light at the end of the tunnel! Even though I knew the recovery would be slow and painful, I didn't hesitate for a second. Full anesthesia, 2-3 days in the hospital, then home to heal. Fast forward to today: I'm a happy pregnant woman, 7 months along, with totally regular movements and zero pain, bleeding, or hemorrhoids whatsoever👍. Anyway, my diagnosis was basically the same as yours, except I was already deep in Stage IV. Whether you go with The Home Depot or the classic way, you're going to feel like a new person😁👍

P.S. I forgot to mention that before the classic surgery, I had the stapler procedure done, and the hemorrhoids just came right back after 6 months..

Thanks for getting back to me and for the support.
I've been poking around online regarding that THD stuff. Apparently, it was cooked up in Italy a few years back. Most of the reviews look positive, and doctors over there seem to swear by it. It was even featured on health segments on CNNhttp://www.thdlab.com/ worldwide (clinics in New York City, the USA, etc.) using the THDLab patent. It’s even popping up here lately. Oddly enough, when I asked my proctologist in San Francisco, he claimed he'd never heard of it. In the next few days, I'll try to wrap up all the info I find on foreign sites and forums.

After 10 days on FedEx, 4 days of Announce, and constant application of Fact ointment combined with chamomile baths—all because the burning and pain inside my backside were absolutely unbearable (peaking about 2 to 8 hours after my morning bathroom trip)—I finally went to see a proctologist this afternoon.

Here’s the diagnosis:
Grade III bleeding internal hemorrhoids.
(Basically, a ring of internal nodes in the usual spots, and when I was in the exam position, the one at the 11 o'clock position had major ulceration that was oozing fresh blood everywhere.)

The doc says creams aren't going to cut it anymore; they won't help me. He’s pushing for surgery under general anesthesia, an overnight hospital stay, and a brutal recovery period of about 6 weeks. He told me there's no point waiting around and I just need to get it done. Price is $2833. This guy claims he does these surgeries "in his sleep."

In the meantime, I reached out to a clinic in Washington, D.C., where a specialist from Israel comes in once every six weeks to perform procedures using the THD method. Price is $2967. The guy at the clinic swears I could be back at work the very next day, that there's zero post-op pain, and that the hemorrhoids will never come back.
He also mentioned that over the last 9 months working in the US, they've cured about 30 people using this specific method.
Has anyone here actually gone through the THD hemorrhoid removal?
Anyone got any feedback?

What would you guys do if you were me?
Do I go for the full surgery with general anesthesia and 6 weeks of hellish pain, or opt for a 30-minute procedure with local anesthesia and a recovery time of basically a few hours? The price is almost identical!

The THD option sounds too good to be true. Is it legit?

One more thing.
After that anoscopy exam—which was incredibly painful despite being quick—I actually feel amazing tonight. Like, better than I have in the last ten days since this whole mess started. The nurse claims they didn't even use a topical anesthetic before the exam. Sure, I popped two capsules of Tylenol with codeine earlier this afternoon, but could that really mask it that much? Or maybe the doctor accidentally popped the hemorrhoid during the exam so the pressure is gone, or am I just headed for a disaster tomorrow morning? Any ideas?

First time posting on this board.
Internal hemorrhoids are back after three years of peace.
The first time this happened, it was all because of constipation triggered by a heavy dose of Johnson & Johnson I was taking for a UTI. I suffered through two brutal months—lost 17 kg, spent half my life at the doctor's office, and became a regular at the local pharmacy. I tried everything under the sun: diet changes, homeopathy, Preparation H cream, suppositories... you name it. Eventually, I pulled through. My digestion stabilized, and they’d just pop up occasionally, nothing major, just a quick fix with some Preparation H and I was good to go.

Back in mid-January, I had a wisdom tooth pulled, and I was put on Kevin and some other antibiotic (can't remember the name). My digestion went sideways right away—stomach rumbling, looser stools, more frequent trips to the bathroom, but I could manage. Then, I paired that with a lunch of jerky, and things absolutely spiraled out of control. For the first few days, even Preparation H didn't touch it, though it wasn't a total disaster yet. After some digging online and getting advice from the pharmacist, I decided to try FedEx (14 tablets, $200), thinking I'd stop the situation from getting worse. Fat chance. It's been getting worse every single day; the burning is intensifying, and the bleeding is getting heavier. I'm on my seventh tablet now, and honestly, it feels useless. Now, after every bathroom trip, I have to sit in a warm chamomile bath just to cope. I also picked up some Prep H ointment at the pharmacy because some lady there swore it saved her husband's life. I've been applying it for three days (2-3 times daily), but it doesn't seem to be doing squat. To make matters worse, because of the swelling, I can't even finish my business. I feel like I'm almost done, but the pain stops me short. Then, about thirty minutes to an hour later, that pressure comes back and drives me straight back to the toilet, and man, it BOILS!!!!
Someone on here said it once—it feels like you've got a hot coal inside you (or a branding iron, I once grabbed a coal the wrong way once😠).
Since the pain and burning are getting unbearable, I kept searching the web for solutions and stumbled upon Announce (www.anuice.com). I managed to grab some this morning at Apollo (www.apolloina.hr, Washington, D.C. or New York City, costs $66, not too bad if it actually works).
Generally, the reviews for it are great, though I did see some warnings saying you shouldn't overdo the cooling part, because it might weaken the surrounding muscles and lead to incontinence due to muscle dysfunction. I'll be putting this thing in the freezer for about half an hour; the actual cooling process takes about 2 hours. I'm hoping it helps—if not, well... screw me👎.
They say it takes a couple of days to kick in, so I guess I'll just endure it. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
