They aren't red or looking like swollen veins or anything, they just feel more like large subcutaneous pimples... they don't look like an open wound or anything like that... so now I am just incredibly worried????
I always pictured hemorrhoids as these bright red growths, ugh, who knows what I'm actually dealing with here!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there! Steven Booth65, I'm unfortunately dealing with a very similar situation to yours. I've been struggling with hemorrhoids since I had my baby about 20 years ago... things were fine for a few years, but lately (the last year or two), it's been a daily struggle, mostly with the external ones... though there are days (especially during PMS) when both the internal and external ones act up... Sometimes I can push the external one back in, or they just recede on their own without too much pain. But now, for a few months, I've had this one external one that stays put, and like you mentioned, it looks like a large pimple. Sometimes a little bit of something—somewhere between pus and light blood—comes out of it. It doesn't hurt, but it itches like crazy, so even all the various creams and ointments haven't helped much (I've tried Fact, some stuff from Austria, and some herbal ointments, but nothing works)... but now, something else popped up last night, and it's already gotten quite a bit bigger today. It's this thickening under the skin, just above the anal area toward my tailbone... you can actually feel the lump if you touch it, almost like a swelling...!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE? HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS??? PLEASE HELP!!!! I'm honestly terrified to go to the doctor👎
