In a way, they might actually be more dangerous than the old fringe extremists, who were mostly just drunk fools clutching a chicken leg in one hand and warm wine in the other...

Wouldn't it be more efficient to simply exile every single one of those radical zealots to the most remote mountains in Montana, hand them some sheep and a few knives, and let them tear each other apart until they run out of steam, finally leaving decent people to live in peace?
