Pepto-Bismol or Kaopectate?

I have a couple of questions regarding the medications mentioned above.
1. Are we actually looking at two distinct drugs here, or is this just a case of the same medication being marketed under two different names?
2. Does anyone happen to know where one might be able to pick these up—ideally here in the States, though I suppose I wouldn't mind looking abroad if they aren't available domestically?
