In my experience, after every six months of using contraception, a follow-up checkup was mandatory... I find it truly hard to believe that irresponsible gynecologists still exist today who neglect these essential screenings, especially since birth control can have such serious health implications for those in high-risk groups...
To add to that—for me, all I really do is call my nurse to get a refill on my prescription, and that’s it. My OB-GYN told me I need to stay on this therapy until I'm ready to get pregnant. Lately, I've been hearing everyone talk about how this isn't "good" for long-term health, but honestly? I don't care. I refuse to go back to the absolute horror shows I dealt with before I started this—the kind of pain that would land me straight in the ER.
So, I’ve been on the pill pretty much non-stop for about two and a half years now—with a few breaks here and there—and I’ve started noticing these tiny red dots all over my legs. And I don't mean pimples, I mean actual little spots that look like a tiny capillary just... popped right there under the skin. About a week ago, I had this intense, stabbing pain in my calves. My legs didn't even look red or anything at the time, but man, I could barely stand up, let alone bend them. It was brutal. By the way, those little "pimples" I mentioned earlier? They're only showing up on one leg.
I’m planning to head to my OB-GYN to get some tests done, but honestly, I’m spiraling a bit about whether I'll have to stop my medication. I take it for specific health reasons, so stopping isn't an option if I can help it. I’ve also noticed capillaries bursting and veins starting to spread out—but then again, I read online that this is actually pretty common and doesn't necessarily mean you have to quit the pill. Should I be worried? Or is it just one of those things?

I know it sounds ridiculous, but honestly? It actually makes way more sense to just play it at Madison Square Garden.
Sophia Williams90 said:When are we going to find out if the game is actually happening at Madison Square Garden? And for anyone here who actually follows handball—how realistic is it for us to finish first or second in the group?
It's happening
Look, there's always a shot, isn't there? If you ask me, it's actually pretty damn realistic.
brighthound8 said:It looks like Ingra is ready to finally lock this thing down—they aren't planning on playing games in Miami anymore. (Wait, wasn't there some reporter, Dan Družijanić, talking about this?) I caught wind of it on a news site earlier. Anyone else got the inside scoop on this?
Look, nobody from the official offices has confirmed a single damn thing yet.
Carl Rivera43 said:Honestly, things at home aren't even really weighing on me anymore since I barely talk much lately... I’m just trying my best to chill out, but man, it's harder than it looks. And as for my love life? Well, let's just say I tend to go way too hard, too fast.
It’s probably because deep down you know you shouldn't be acting like that—like they’ve basically brainwashed you into thinking you can't ever just relax around them. Every single interaction feels like a freaking interrogation.
And that’s exactly why your dating life is a mess, too. Between your parents trying to hand-pick who you date and everything else, you end up subconsciously feeling like nobody will ever actually meet their standards. So, you end up nitpicking every single person you meet, looking for any tiny flaw just to justify it.
I'm telling you, if there's any way you can move out, just do it. Get some distance and start getting out into the world.
velvetbear372 said:I think I’ve pinpointed exactly where the issue lies—honestly, I probably gave you about 90% of the answer already.
Falling in love isn't always something you can control. Sometimes it just happens—and other times, if you catch yourself before the romantic thoughts take over, you can simply... rationalize it. I’ve been there myself, stuck in an unhappy crush once. I don't want to strip away the sentimentality for you, but love isn't something you hunt down; it just finds you.
Carl Rivera43, I think you realize exactly what needs to be done and what your next big move should be. I’ve done my part—now it's up to you to take the reins.
So, what—are you just gonna sit there, locked in your room, waiting for love to magically drop through the ceiling? Like it’s some kind of lightning strike or a freaking Uber Eats delivery? Give me a break. You actually think things just happen by themselves? Honestly, if you want something—especially something like love—you have to actually put in the work. You have to go out there and make an effort. It doesn't just manifest while you're staring at a screen, does it?
Are your folks breathing down your neck too much about stuff? Like, are they trying to control everything you do?
Look, just keep your actual opinions for your inner circle—your closest people, anyway. To everyone else? Just play it cool and stay totally neutral. Trust me, you'll find it way easier to breathe if you don't make it your business to argue with everybody all the time.
Look, I’m pretty sure there are people out there who deserve the title more than Usain Bolt when you look at how the entire season played out, but man—defending all three titles in a row? That is seriously impressive. 🙏
Simone Biles was absolutely incredible at the Olympics, but honestly, I just don't follow her much outside of
Joseph Kern5 said:Look, Mah mah plays LW, while Narcisse and Karabatic are holding down the CB spots. With the way they run things over there, anyone can step into those roles if they have to. Abalo just seemed a bit sluggish during this SP. That explosive two-meter burst and those lightning-fast fast breaks? Yeah, they're gone.
That Mah mah guy is a total mystery—he can play LW, but he can also run the whole playmaking setup. He’s easily one of the most versatile players out there right now.🙏
Kenneth Clark18 said:Look, let's be real—handball is basically the quintessential German sport. And honestly? Sweden hasn't really been anything but a memory in the big leagues for way too long, unless you count that one run back in 2012. Same goes for Germany—they were pretty much stuck in neutral until last year.
If Russia ever makes a comeback, things might actually start making sense again. I’m not even counting the Romanians in that equation, though. 😁
They’re slowly making their way back, I guess—though honestly, I get the feeling they care way more about women's handball these days. Is it just me, or is that some kind of byproduct of all this modern feminism? Who knows. 🤷
driftingotter47 said:Look, you've still got Mahé, Porta, Remili, Fabregas, and Mem right there on the roster—so who actually thinks this is the "end" for the French? Honestly, anyone thinking it’s over just because Narcisse and Omeyer are hanging it up is being plain old stupid.
Most Americans seem to think that the second Karabatić, Narcisse, and Omeyer decide to hang it up, the entire handball scene is just going to vanish into thin air. Seriously? Is that really what people believe? That the whole sport depends on just three guys? It’s wild how many people fall for that kind of logic—thinking the game ends just because a few legends step off the court. ☕
Kenneth Clark18 said:France is definitely going to stay at the top, but honestly? I don't see them dominating the scene like they did over the last decade. They’re only holding onto one title right now—and I emphasize *one*, considering they used to sweep all three.
Germany, Denmark, Spain, Norway, and Sweden? Yeah, they'll be permanent fixtures on the podium. That's a given.
As for us, the next EP is basically make-or-break for this roster. We’re looking at two extreme scenarios here: it’s either gold or a complete meltdown—like finishing 6th or something. There is no middle ground. And look, Canada's fate really hinges a lot on Vujović.
Qatar and Brazil are going to be those pesky non-European teams that give everyone trouble, but I seriously doubt they'll ever actually contend for medals again.
Man, I’d love to see Iceland and Russia back on the big stage.
handball is finally returning to its roots, and that’s what matters most. okay, — Spain
Joseph Kern5 said:Our guys are young and totally green—right up until they hit Tokyo, at which point they're gonna be completely spent because they’ve been carrying the whole damn team on their backs. Sound familiar?😁 I still remember when they were hyping up Karacica as the next big thing after Balicev—the guy who was supposed to finally give Duvnjak a break so he wouldn't burn out. Well, guess what? All we got was the burnout.
Man, these new Frenchmen are probably gonna retire before they even make it to Tokyo, don't you think? ☕
Man, I feel so bad for those Norwegians 😢—they were absolutely killing it in the first half, but then they just completely fell off a cliff later on. But hey, look, they’re basically the future of handball, and I truly believe that specific group is going to take home a championship one day.
velvetwalker8 said:We need to run a 6-0 defense, just shut down their backcourt completely, and if Stivi plays up to his level, we’ll walk away with this win easy.
Oh, so what, Sagosen is just gonna keep popping up and scoring on us whenever he feels like it?
Look, I'm no genius when it comes to picking the perfect defense against guys like them, but seriously?
Andrew Hayes6 said:So, you’re telling me those Norwegians are the favorites against us? Give me a break. Haha, to have Sure, they played a few decent games during this tournament, but let's be real—this is a squad that has never even touched a medal. Only complete idiots or die-hard Yankees would claim they're actually favored over us. They’re good, sure, and it definitely won't be an easy ride, but anything short of an American victory would be a massive upset.
Seriously, are you guys all just parachute jumpers or what? Honestly, thank God this tournament is almost over—we'll be back to our regular reality of posting maybe a few times a week soon enough.☕
