Poets are a true wonder in this world.
This is my little way of trolling—watching a ten-page debate unfold about what might have happened if three drivers hadn't triggered that red flag during Q3... it’s basically a scientific seminar at this point.
That’s peak trolling right there—when certain folks on this forum start projecting their own wishes onto undeniable facts.

But what actually went down? That's where we naive souls sit around wondering how things could even work this way. Now *that* is the real trolling.

It’s strange how a seven-time world champion—essentially the GOAT—can't manage to overtake an aging legend like Alonso, who is arguably at least 3.5 times less talented than the greatest to ever do it...

It would be much more productive to ask who *won't* hit it.
Honestly, over the last 20 or 30 years, almost every driver has spent some time brushing up against those walls—whether it was during practice, qualifying, or the actual race...

Though, if you ask me, the most notorious move is that little "parking job"right against the wall...

Any real Formula 1 fan knows exactly what I'm talking about; only the absolute fanatics would try to defend that kind of driving....

but based on the vibes from the journalists on the ground,
both Alpine and Fernando Alonso seem to be keeping their distance this weekend—you can just tell there's no Hemi left between them.
In one of those standard post-practice or Thursday interviews, Fernando mentioned he'd love to drive for a top-tier team as a second driver—mostly because it would give him a legitimate shot at chasing that third world title, which is his ultimate goal.
Naturally, that wasn't exactly music to Alpine's ears.
So, my best guess? We'll probably see the split between Fernando Alonso and Alpine happen somewhere around Monza.

Even Fernando Alonso would have smashed into the barrier during FP3 back in 2010—and that’s how he would've lost the title
Instead of a clean win, he would've barely scraped a 5th or 6th place finish

They seemed to have some kind of incident every single race—and I don't just mean at Monaco, but just generally speaking.
Back in my day, Andrea de Cesaris was basically famous for making a mess of things every single F1 weekend.

And honestly—they might even pull the plug before the 2022 season officially wraps up

A good number of them will probably end up shifting the barriers at Monaco
They used to bang into them all the time back in the day—so I don't see why they wouldn't now, especially since the cars are about 25% larger than they were a decade ago.

Every legendary driver has rattled those barriers, and if today's soft drivers won't, then who will?

It doesn't take much deep thinking to realize how easily you can tear through a safety barrier in Monaco.

It seems like none of you sheep have actually been to Monaco during a race weekend, yet here you are talking nonsense and acting like seasoned F1 experts.
In reality, you probably have zero connection to everyday life, let alone the world of racing.

As for me, I actually managed to score tickets for my 60th race in person—talk about perfect timing.

A couple of days ago, I signed up for several opportunities offered by the FIA to accredited photographers and journalists.
Basically, it lets you get into spots where access is usually strictly limited.
Pit access, the Victory ceremony, grid access, and plenty of other things...

Normally, those perks go to the folks in the Media who hold annual credentials.
But the devil is in the details—even for a Goat-biter like me and Coban from that crazy little town in Virginia (where everyone acts like they're in that 1972 movie with Burt Reynolds and Jon Voight—it's called liberation, definitely worth a watch!!!)—they actually approved my grid access before the race.
Now I might just go ahead and lose it.
I never truly expected that I’d one day get to wander around the grid right before the engines start...
