Whether they want to admit it or not—those two old fossils really stirred this particular pot. With such tight schedules, we might actually see some genuine driving talent shine through, though there’s a chance that certain individuals simply picked a decent starting spot after wrecking their front wings. The only silver lining is seeing Fernando Alonso ahead of him, with Sebastian Vettel sitting in third. It’s a tense start to the season, and more interestingly, whoever wins might not even get credited with a 😁

Purchased, tested, and performing flawlessly—I actually managed to breeze through Need for Speed in just three days. Thanks for the pointers; feel free to close this thread. 🙂
A new development in the situation—it turns out NFS doesn't support the 4600 series processors, only the 4800 line.
🤷
Excellent—that makes two insightful responses already. Thanks, guys. 🙂
Thanks for the quick reply. I stopped by Microsoft earlier today, but since I wasn't entirely sure which motherboard I was running, I decided to head back home to double-check first.
In short, they suggested I go with either this or this. Since your suggestion marks the third option on my list, I’d love to hear your take on how these three stack up—and which one you think is the smartest move.
Thanks 😁
So, I have a rig that serves my photo editing needs—but since I occasionally feel the urge to game, I find myself in need of a dedicated graphics card. To put it bluntly, I just installed the new Need for Speed Undercover, and it’s struggling to even render a decent image on my screen.
Reviewing the initial posts, I can provide the following details:
Motherboard: ASRock ALIVENF7G-HDREADY
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200 +
From what I can gather regarding connectivity:
- 1 x PCI Express x16 slot
- 1 x PCI Express x1 slot
- 2 x PCI slots
Regarding the package: Socket AM2 (940)
Clock speed is listed at 2700 MHz
I have 4 gigs of RAM—two 2GB DDR2 modules.
I don't have a discrete GPU yet; I'm currently relying on some integrated junk on the motherboard that performs as if it isn't even there.
I am using a Samsung 959 NF CRT monitor set to 1280x960 at 100 Hz.
The motherboard came with a converter to bridge the monitor to a DVI output, so that shouldn't be an issue.
The power supply is 550 Watts, and I am aiming to drop roughly $267 200 bucks or so on the card.
The question remains: which graphics card should I get?
Thanks for the help.😁

Supposedly, he accidentally hit the pit lane speed limiter button 😁
Alonso was basically driving on a razor's edge the whole race—props to him. 🙂
