( I hear you all. To be honest, I’ve started wondering if this has all just spiraled into my own head... I can't quite tell if I'm imagining things or if it's actually happening, haha. Anyway, I’d suggest looking into the MMS topic over on the alternative health boards. It supposedly wipes out every pathogen in your system, and frankly, I've been feeling quite a bit better since I started using it. )

Sorry, what exactly is MMS?
Heat? It certainly isn't doing any favors for an already fragile balance. I was never much of a summer person to begin with, but now things have taken a turn for the worse... If I do find myself heading toward the coast, it will be in the late evening once the sun has lost its bite. I've never had much use for direct sunlight anyway (sunbathing was never really my thing). To my fellow travelers out there: hang in there. It is clear we possess enough resilience to endure this prolonged stretch... People often tell me that you could never tell just by looking at me that I'm struggling, which I suppose is a compliment to my resolve. As for those who think we are merely making excuses... well, we know the truth. And frankly, their opinions are irrelevant. Stay strong and keep the faith that things will improve:-

The only thing that actually gets me through is the unwavering support from my inner circle—my partner and my parents. They’re the only ones who truly saw me at my absolute lowest, and they’re the only ones who understand just how bad things really were. As for everyone else, those people who love to lecture me about "not thinking about it" or, even better, telling me I should just "learn to live with it"... I honestly couldn't care less what they think. Why on earth would I want to learn to live with such a revolting sensation? I have no intention of accepting it as my reality; I intend to push through until this passes, even if I have to kick its teeth in... At the end of the day, life is a struggle. Perhaps we'd find it all rather boring if we weren't occasionally blindsided by these absurdities, or maybe we simply wouldn't appreciate our health if we weren't periodically shaken up by an illness like this. It isn't easy, but hang in there, everyone...
I don't think I've ever experienced an intense episode, maybe once or twice during this long stretch, but nothing catastrophic. What’s much more debilitating is this lack of self-confidence and feeling unsteady on my feet. And just like you, >, I used to be an optimist—someone who was always up for anything—but now I’m constantly gripped by cramps and find myself wanting nothing more than to stay home... I can't tell you how many times I forced myself to go out just because my boyfriend refused to leave the house without me, causing us to miss out on so many gatherings :-( If only I had been brave enough to go, or if I hadn't preferred lying on the couch instead... I truly hope we all start feeling better soon. Because no matter how trivial it sounds when we say we feel "dizzy," we know exactly how devastating it actually is.
Chloe Garcia10, are you working right now? I was just about to take my professional certification exam when this all started, so I ended up in a total fog. I had everything else finished, leaving just that one stupid test😢but it never crossed my mind that this would drag on like this, or that it wouldn't even be a matter of studying... Everyone keeps telling me to just "get through it" and start working, claiming I'll eventually "forget" about it... FORGET??!! I’d love to know how they plan on "forgetting" this constant, nagging sensation... though I really do want to get back to work. I've had enough of being a burden to everyone around me👎

I’ve seen a psychiatrist twice now. However, once I realized their solution was just to hand me a prescription for anxiety or panic meds... I decided I've had quite enough of pills. I have no interest in solving my problems with medication, nor do I wish to become an addict. If this all started because of a shock, then it will pass once I finally process what happened... especially with the support of the people standing by me every day. I am frankly exhausted by doctors who try to push pills on you the second you walk through the door.
Ah, anxiety...:-( It seems everyone gets slapped with that diagnosis just because doctors lack a clever response... while those of us dealing with vertigo feel miserable every single day... I actually went to pick up my Helix today, and honestly, I felt incredibly embarrassed to even mention it to my doctor, but what can you do when things are finally starting to improve?😲 No matter how much he insisted I couldn't possibly become addicted to such mild medication, please... spare me the lecture. Today, I was actually feeling quite happy because I managed to make it downtown all by myself, see the doctor, and stroll through the streets without feeling like the world was spinning out of control. Wow... I suppose I should be celebrating the fact that I’ve had one decent day (after eighteen months of misery):-( I completely understand where you're coming from; there is nothing worse than trying to explain this sensation to people, describing what it feels like to constantly live like some kind of zombie... hang in there.

I feel every single shift in the weather too... Initially, I thought things were worse when the humidity rose and it stayed rainy, but then the heavy winds started blowing🙏 oh god, it felt like someone was physically tossing me around the house, drifting left, then right😢 a total disaster! And if only I could say my condition had actually improved after all this time
( a year and a half )... In the beginning, I was taking Vertigo twice a day. Eventually, my doctor told me I could stop since there wasn't any noticeable progress, but then a friend mentioned she’s been staying on her Vertigo this whole time (we both started around the same period! ) and feels it's helping. So, I started taking it again; perhaps it will work... As for Helix... well, it helps, at least it calms me down a bit, which is vital because my blood sugar used to spike to 20 out of pure panic! ( I'm on insulin )
I am not sure how much insight I can offer, but I have been dealing with this exact issue—or one very similar—for about eighteen months now. Personally, I am quite convinced this all stems from psychological trauma, though the specialists at the Audiology Clinic immediately diagnosed me with nerve damage in my middle (or perhaps inner) ear. They prescribed Meclis, which is quite expensive here at $37 per pack, and some B vitamins. The frustrating part is how agonizingly slow the recovery is. Even after a year and a half, I still deal with that nauseating sensation of the ground disappearing beneath my feet, and on certain days, full-blown vertigo. I have undergone every conceivable test, from MRIs to various specialized exams at the Audiology Clinic, even looking into things completely unrelated to the ear. My conclusion—which seems to be shared by others facing this same struggle—is that the only real remedy is time. Unfortunately, it requires a massive amount of it... For the first few months, I couldn't even get out of bed because the spinning was so intense. Not long ago, I didn't even dare leave the house alone; I had become entirely dependent on having someone by my side at all times. Things have improved slightly, but I wouldn't call myself "well." And as for the fact that I've recently started taking anti-anxiety medication just to cope... well, let's just leave it at that.
You’re better off getting an MRI. It gave me such peace of mind to see that everything looked fine there, even if my balance is still acting up. Are you dealing with that sensation of water in your ears? If so, I can't tell you how many times I've been through it. Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I expected, though I suppose everyone handles it differently... I'm not sure if you've visited the Audiology clinic yet—you probably have, since that's their specialty—but they also perform other tests. I can't recall the exact technical term, but the staff there used to call it a Bear... Anyway, they just put headphones on you and play various sounds. It's perfectly fine. It takes a bit longer, but it isn't nearly as unpleasant as the water sensation. In any case, ask your doctor, your primary care physician, or even the folks at the Audiology clinic what other tests might be available to you. Good luck

Honestly, I can't believe I've finally stumbled upon people dealing with the exact same thing. I've been struggling with vertigo for about a year and a half now—more specifically, that sensation where the floor feels like it's dropping out from under you, or like you're constantly swaying on a boat. It all started less than a month after I fell into a diabetic coma (I'm on insulin), which left me more shaken up than I care to admit... My doctors diagnosed it as a balance disorder caused by nerve damage in the inner ear, though apparently, that damage "resolved" itself a few months ago. I have no idea how that works, given that I feel just as bad as I did then. Since I can't always manage it, I take Helix (25mg) almost every single day.😢I've never even touched an Analgesic before, yet here I am, suddenly relying on sedatives...
