Dealing with Keratosis pilaris (KP)? in Health ·
So, I just felt the need to say this... For years, I was constantly battling incredibly dry skin. I’m talking about those persistent breakouts on my glutes, thighs, and lower back. I tried everything—urea creams, antibacterial soaps, even silver-infused water; I slathered myself in almond and argan oils, and cycled through endless exfoliants, both store-bought and DIY. Honestly, you wouldn't believe the turnaround once I finally stopped using soaps and shampoos altogether. In about 95% of my routine now, I just rinse off with plain water. There have been stretches where I haven't touched those damn products for 40 days straight. I don't smell, and my skin feels better than it ever has in my life. I work, I hit the gym, I go for runs, I mow the lawn—life happens—and yet, I don't need soap or shampoo. Maybe this works for everyone, or maybe it’s just my specific biology? Regardless, I had to post this because after months of testing, I am convinced we are being sold a load of crap we simply don't need. I don't even wash my hair with shampoo. I used to be terrified it would get greasy, but it hasn't happened. Look, I’m a guy with short hair, but I’d suggest girls give it a shot too. Give it a try and good luck.
