I’ve been dealing with RLS for about twenty years now, ever since I suffered a herniated disc. I actually underwent spinal surgery in early 2007, hoping that would resolve the restless sensation in my legs, but unfortunately, the symptoms haven't changed at all. Since 2004, I’ve been taking 1mg of Mirapex, which helps settle my legs, but lately, insomnia has become a major issue. I usually manage about 3 to 4 hours of sleep before waking up for roughly 3 hours, and if I try to drift back off, it's a struggle—this has been my pattern for years. I am 54 years old. If anyone might have some advice or help, I would be incredibly grateful. Best regards.
Dealing with Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with restless legs for several years now. I take 1mg of Mirapex daily, which seems to settle my legs, but then it triggers insomnia. This all originally started about 18 years ago following a spinal injury. I'm 53, and I actually had surgery on my lower spine two years ago—specifically the L4-L5 and L5-S1 levels. Even after the procedure, the restlessness in my legs hasn't gone away. If anyone might have some advice or suggestions, I would be very grateful.
