Oh, I almost forgot to mention—it’s also pretty much a requirement that those two parents show up at church every single Sunday for Mass. After all, their God is supposedly great and forgives every single sin imaginable...

Let’s say a father is an alcoholic, or he’s physically and verbally abusive, or maybe he’s even a sexual predator. Or let’s say the mother just doesn't care about her kid, neglecting them both mentally and physically... none of that matters, right? As long as there are TWO parents present, and naturally, they have to be a man and a woman!
That is definitely, absolutely a better choice than some single mother raising a child alone, or two gay men who actually want to, love, and properly raise a child in every sense of the word... right?
I mean, what happens when that child actually needs a healthy model of what a man and a woman should be like? What kind of examples are they getting?

And here you guys go again, getting all worked up and picking fights with her. Honestly, this whole debate is just pointless...

Even Mesić has stepped up to say this whole legal farce is unconstitutional!!!

And just to be crystal clear, I was talking about my own personal stance here, not making some sweeping generalization about everyone else.
Look, if being selfish is what it takes, then fine—call me selfish. I’m not going to sit here and feel ashamed about owning up to it, whether it's to myself or to you guys.
That's the point. It's your stance, your body, and your life. You have the right to live it how you choose.👍

Personally, I would never subject myself to IVF. I’d honestly rather not have kids at all, but that’s just my own personal choice. To me, a child simply isn't worth going through that kind of torture.
OTE]
...what on earth are you talking about at the end there? What "torture" is a child undergoing???
You probably meant to say that a child isn't worth the torture *you* might have to endure. 😕😕

Carol Scott98 said:Okay, look... at this point, we aren't even talking about the actual law anymore. It’s just turned into a contest of who can throw more arguments—smart or stupid—at the other person to try and shut them down. Honestly, it feels like it’s becoming more about personal attacks than anything else.
Defense mechanisms have always been the ultimate weapon in these debates. Just look at slyscout192; they’re the perfect example. Anyway, I’m tapping out... my psychologist is on vacation and deserves a break from my nonsense. Please direct all further inquiries to the person on call.... 😉

Was God busy making love to Mary in bed when Jesus was conceived? Is that really what some random slut is looking for?
I honestly feel sick reading these comments—people offering their "advice" while someone else is suffering.

Honestly, I think everyone on this forum is a bit of a masochist for spending so much energy dissecting arguments and bickering with an idiot. It’s exhausting. We’re all sitting here wading through these rambling, endless walls of text instead of actually having a productive conversation about that new tax reform bill.

Personally, I have absolutely no issue with adoption or raising children who don't share my DNA... Honestly, I see it as an incredibly compassionate thing to do, and it's something I truly intend to do. I am fully prepared to embrace and love an adopted child just as much as if they were my own flesh and blood. BUT, at the same time, I also want my own biological child—a child that carries my genetic legacy and is a literal part of me.

What do you actually think—doesn't a child have a right to both parents?
Do you honestly believe people look at the rights and wishes of the child in these cases, or are they just chasing their own selfish agendas?
If you're that desperate, go get a pet to pamper and obsess over; leave children alone.
Stop trying to turn kids into your little personal accessories...
You're clearly unwell, and frankly, I don't consider your opinion competent enough to warrant a response to my posts.
Anyway, I know this wonderful woman—she's truly incredible. Her doctor told her that because of her health situation, this is her absolute last chance to become a mother; she won't be able to conceive naturally after this. Since she isn't in a relationship, IVF is her only remaining option. She wants this child so deeply, and she would undoubtedly be an amazing mother.
But under this current law, she’s being blocked from doing exactly that.
Is it really possible in this day and age that someone could actually help her achieve this?
I'm asking anyone on this forum with even a shred of brain cells to weigh in—and please, no mindless bickering...

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about something lately. What happens to people who aren't necessarily looking to get married, but just want to have a child for their own personal reasons—even if they aren't currently in a relationship?
Under these messed-up laws we have, they're basically barred from even trying.

The only person on this entire thread radiating nothing but pure hatred and judgment toward everyone else is goldenpilot20.
Listen, dear, you keep invoking Jesus, so maybe take a second to ask yourself if he actually spent his time condemning people the way you do.
You've got your laws, you're happy, so why don't you just go find somewhere else to bloom? Seriously. Try showing a little bit of decency and respect for once.

slyscout192 said:You keep telling people that evil is lurking behind my supposed "moralizing and preaching."
I’m not moralizing, and I’m certainly not preaching...
We are talking about fundamental individual rights here. Whether someone is a pedophile or gay, the law should treat them exactly the same way.
But you're the one out here playing favorites—handing rights to some while stripping them away from others.
You aren't any better than Milinović; if anything, you're worse, because you'd probably advocate for the death penalty if anyone gave you the chance. But let's be real, you aren't going to get any credit for your "honesty" this time.
You grant rights to certain groups and deny them to others...
So, how exactly are you any different from the very people you're accusing?
I’ll give you this much: I agree that it's much easier to just spit on everyone else...
If I recall correctly, you brought up the past? Well, I asked you the same thing—what past exactly? That's why I mentioned it in the first place.
And since we’re talking about evil, based on your own post, it looks like there's a deep-seated intolerance and hatred hiding in there... things you haven't shown any mercy toward... and honestly, you seem ready to strike at the first opportunity...
🙂:
Go get some help. I have zero intention of wasting my breath responding to your nonsense. amen:

slyscout192 said:When we're talking about rights, there’s absolutely no distinction between one person and another, or between different orientations...
And as for the Middle Ages, why on earth are you dragging us back into the dark ages?
Are you implying something specific here?
If America had been under Nazi Germany rule, does that make you a fascist? Or if a neighboring country was an aggressor, does that mean every single person from there is evil or a war criminal?
What does the past have to do with what's happening right now?
Hahahaha, I love how you try to twist people's words.
There is some serious malice hiding behind all that heavy-handed moralizing and preaching you're doing.
There is a massive difference between individuals and their orientations—there is a huge, fundamental distinction between pedophilia and homosexuality!
Maybe try actually reading your own posts more carefully instead of rambling on with this incoherent nonsense.
Where are you getting fascists and war criminals from? WTF??? Stick to the topic.

...and please, stop mocking gay people and pedophiles. It’s pretty obvious you’re lumping them all into the same bucket.

I don't want to get too deep into the weeds here, but here’s my take on the situation:
Miller👎👎
the church👎👎
the law👎👎👎
I really wanted to use those flashing emojis to make a point, but they aren't working for me right now, so you'll just have to settle for this slightly more understated assessment than what I actually intended.
