That case you've got, Mark Gonzalez2... honestly, nice work. It’s not over-the-top—just clean and tasteful. My only gripe is seeing an amateurish Athlon tucked away inside there...😁
Honestly, mad respect to anyone who actually finds joy in messing around with a PC case.... To me, it just feels a bit pointless—not "stupid," per se, but I just don't see the big deal. At the end of the day, it’s what’s under the hood that counts; the exterior look is just an irrelevant link in the chain if you ask me... I don't know... Anyway, it's a fun topic to chew on. I'll snap some photos of my setup and post them here soon...😁
You’ve actually posted something pretty similar to this before...😉 Winamp vs Windows Media Player... Maybe even iTunes... or VLC—since nobody bothered to mention that one, haha...
Hey everyone—if anyone knows of a solid, professional site dedicated to overclocking that breaks everything down step-by-step, please drop a link here. I’ve got a decent handle on CPU overclocking, but honestly, my knowledge feels pretty surface-level right now—I'd really like to actually master the craft. Thanks! 🙂
Since we're all sharing... I might as well brag a little—even though I feel like I’ve done this a thousand times already—but since the topic is open... Here’s my current setup: an Intel Core 2 Duo E6700, 2 GB of DDR-SDRAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS with 256MB of DDR3. I haven't touched a single thing under the hood—it just runs perfectly fine as it is.😉
gentlelynx9 said:Before anyone even thinks about overclocking, you really need to sort out your cooling first. If you push your Processor just a little too hard, you might not kill it—but it definitely won't be the same machine again. Do your homework on maximum vcore, vdimm, and CPU temperature limits. And please, check if your motherboard has any known quirks—for instance, some high-end boards were notorious for frying if the vdimm climbed above 3.3v.
I’m with you there... don't dive into something that could end up being fatal for your PC. If your computer is running smoothly and meeting your needs, why risk overclocking it? I mean, why bother? I know, I know—I wanted to try it too. I ended up fried my AMD Athlon... but hey, it wasn't the end of the world. They actually honored a version of the warranty, so I got a replacement at a discount. Still, it was a headache. This isn't something to take lightly—don't go charging in blindly. If you aren't 100% sure what you're doing, just don't. That's my definitive advice. 🙂
Aha, I missed your reply since I was typing while you were responding... but honestly—it’s pretty unlikely someone is just going to hand over a speaker for free... I don't know.
Aha... are those the grey ones with the massive subwoofer and that big side-firing bass port? A buddy of mine has a set—they're actually pretty solid... just a bit pricey for what they are. You didn't mention what's actually wrong with your speaker, though... maybe it just needs a quick repair? It's unlikely anyone's going to sell you just a single standalone speaker.
