That’s exactly how it works. It’s just like when the teachers at a daycare take their break and leave the kids unsupervised; once they come back, it's too hard to figure out who actually caused the mess, so they just punish the ringleaders.

As soon as she showed up in the PDF, she started acting all twitchy and stirring up trouble. She actually went out of her way to ask for a ban, which she got, but then she came right back just to throw more insults around. Honestly, she definitely earned a heavy penalty for that behavior...

The government *is* helping workers through those measures they give to employers. I mean, if those weren't in place, how many people do you think would have ended up on unemployment by now?

I find it hard to believe you guys aren't angry at people like that. They are the ones truly responsible for these kinds of restrictions.
Just like the group from Washington, D.C. who headed down to the coast and brought the virus right to us.

Oh, please... people go through so much in life, yet suddenly staying inside for a couple of weeks is too much to ask?
To me, it seems like the biggest issue is that most people can't stand being stuck with their partner 24/7. Everyone always complains about not having enough time for family or kids, but now that everyone is together, all they do is moan about how to escape one another.

Is anyone actually home alone without someone else to grab groceries or meds for them? (Look, I think most of these people are just irresponsible morons, but take me as an example: if I went to my residence and got slapped with a 14-day isolation, I’d have two choices—pay the fines or starve, because I live alone and wouldn't have food.)

Three neighbors walk home—two were out shopping and one was at the pharmacy. All three come back empty-handed because they didn't have the cash to buy what they needed or their medicine.

The lesson here: the Government told them it was for their own good to get some fresh air and maybe forget about being hungry for a while. They also suggested cutting the cake slices thinner.

It looks like things are moving in the right direction for now, until people eventually push back. Once they do, I bet we'll see those infection and death numbers spike suddenly just to justify keeping everything under control.

They couldn't care less. All they give a damn about are the current numbers, and they use those to justify everything they do. What happens tomorrow isn't on their radar, just like nothing else matters once the immediate stats look good.

If you ask me, they would've slapped a stay-at-home order on us even without the earthquake; the tremor just pushed their timeline back. A total lockdown was always going to be their final move before pulling the plug entirely.

It’s a lot easier this way.

And if they actually had the nerve to deny it when you clearly have to take care of a family member...

Look at it this way: imagine you headed out to a rural area a few weeks ago using public transit, and now you need to get back home but you don't have a car. You need a ride, so you're stuck having to request a pass just to get moved? 😵

Or picture this—you need to drive from your place to your parents' house to drop off groceries and medication, 31 miles but you don't have a vehicle. How exactly are you supposed to pull that off?

They live in their own little bubble where the only goal is to look busy—basically just mimicking the European Union—without actually thinking about the long term. That's been our national pastime for ages anyway: obsess over the past and focus on whatever puts food on the table today, while completely screwing over the future.

I’m getting hit with $20 utility fees even though I have zero people registered at this address. On top of that, my ice maker is acting up, and now I’m waiting on the electric bill to settle—including any potential back-pay adjustments. It’s going to be a total mess if I can't make it downtown to settle this 😁

I’m really wondering what’s going to happen with the lockdowns, living in the city versus being stuck out in the suburbs, not being able to move without some kind of pass, and having zero transportation options left. 👍

It’d be perfect if they just cut the power too, just to make the whole experience complete. 👍

I'll just keep clearing things out, and if I run into something even bigger...
