Does a draft actually cause illness?
in Health ·
Let me clarify something for everyone who can’t figure out why they’re suddenly in pain. If you experience sharp cramps or find yourself unable to move normally because of localized discomfort—specifically in areas like your head, spine, lower back, neck, or even under your ribs—you’ve been hit by a draft.
Right now, I’m sitting here hunched over because my spine, my head, and my ribcage are absolutely killing me. It is an undeniable fact that some people are sensitive to drafts while others aren't. But generally speaking, if you feel a limb go numb or get that unpleasant tingling sensation shooting through your head, you know exactly what happened.
It can strike you anywhere before you even realize it's happening.
How do you protect yourself? Simple: make sure your lower back and neck stay covered. If you start sweating, wipe it off immediately or change your clothes.
And just one more thing for those of you who might be panicking and thinking there's something wrong with your internal organs: relax. It's just the wind. Cheers to the drafts!
