I was thinking about this the other day while driving past the old stadium near my parents' house. There was something about those Friday nights back in the day—the whole town basically shutting down just to watch the local kids play. It wasn't just about the sport; it was about that sense of community and having something to rally around every single week.
Lately, it feels like everything has moved so much online that we've lost that physical connection to our local neighborhoods. It's hard to find that same energy when everyone is just staring at their phones instead of cheering in the stands. I wonder if the younger generation even gets that same rush, or if the "small town" feeling is just a thing of the past for most of us.
Do you guys think local traditions like this are actually dying out, or are we just finding new ways to stay connected?
I have a feeling that the pain isn't quite as sharp today, though I suppose I can't say for certain without further observation. Has anyone else noticed a similar shift?
For the past few days, I’ve been experiencing this rather peculiar sensation on my left side, situated just beneath the ribs and drifting somewhat toward my lower back, roughly where it's indicated in this image, perhaps even a bit closer to the kidney area:
http://i43.tinypic.com/bfriww.jpgThe pain itself isn't overwhelming in intensity, yet it carries a sharp quality, though it remains completely absent while I am simply resting or staying still. It only seems to manifest when I perform certain actions, such as taking a sudden, deep breath, coughing, or perhaps shifting into an awkward physical position:
Aside from these specific moments, I feel perfectly fine—being only 19 years old—but the unpredictability of it all is honestly quite aggravating. What are your thoughts on this?
I’ve been feeling pretty under the weather for the last four or five days now, and it started off with a fever hovering somewhere between 98 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit, though it seems to have dipped down to about 97 recently. The actual aches and pains have subsided, but I’m left with this strange, bloated sensation, and my digestive system is acting up quite a bit; I’ve been dealing with some diarrhea, though it isn't heavy—just small amounts about three or four times a day. I am 17 years old, and I can't help but wonder if this is just something that will pass on its own or if I should be genuinely concerned that it's dragging on this long. I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about what might be causing this.
Then I think I’ll give the 6870 a shot...
I am aware that it can push quite a bit, but to be perfectly honest, I don't know the first thing about overclocking, and I really have no desire to go around making baseless claims or messing things up just for the sake of it.😁
So, here is how my current setup looks at the moment:
Motherboard...... Intel Dragontail peak DP35DP
Processor........ Intel Core 2 duo E8500, 3.16ghz x 2
RAM.............. 2gb RAM DDR II
Graphics Card.... ATI Sapphire HD3870 GDDR4, 512mb
Power Supply..... Antec 500 w
I am looking to perform a bit of an upgrade on this machine because I really want to be able to run some newer games with slightly higher settings than what I am currently managing.
My plan is to add another 2gb of RAM to the mix and swap out the graphics card entirely; I was leaning towards picking up the ATI Sapphire HD 6850 GDDR5, 1gb, 256bit - $467
In your estimation, would that be a better move than going for the $133 more expensive 6870 version? 😁
And also, I find myself wondering if my current power supply will actually be sufficient to handle the change?
It completely vanishes from my sight, and then it just refuses to resurface for several months on end, which is quite frustrating 🤷
So, listen, I’ve actually lost my 😁
and yet, this thing occasionally resurfaces—it’s been happening on and off for over five years now, if I'm being honest about the timeline...
I’ve noticed this tiny little bump popping up on the bottom right side of my mouth, just a couple of centimeters past my very last molar.
It isn't a constant thing, because in the past, it has tended to show up and then quite simply vanish after a few hours or perhaps by the following day, usually having disappeared entirely overnight.
It doesn't happen with any sort of regularity, appearing maybe once a year or even less frequently, and it always, invariably, goes away on its own.
The color is perfectly consistent with the rest of my gum tissue, and there is absolutely no pain associated with it.
I can't help but wonder if this might just be some sort of gland that occasionally becomes slightly swollen, which would mean it's nothing to worry about since it disappears so quickly and doesn't cause me any discomfort.
