I’ve tried everything—creams, ointments, specialty baths, ice packs, hot water, you name it. Absolutely nothing works. At best, I get relief for maybe three or four days before the pain comes back even worse than before.
I can't see a doctor right now; I'm traveling for another year and don't have the budget for private specialists. It feels like I'm dying here. I honestly don't know what else to do.
I dealt with chronic tonsil issues for years. It wasn't constant pain, but those recurring tonsil stones were a nightmare. Eventually, in my early twenties, the whole thing triggered rheumatic fever.
Two years ago, at 24, I finally pulled the trigger on surgery. Everyone tried to talk me out of it—suggesting herbal remedies or gargles since they thought the stones weren't a "real" issue, and warned me how intense the recovery would be after sixteen years of dealing with them.
I ignored the noise and just had them removed. Nine days post-op, things were rough: I couldn't eat, my ears and jaw were aching, and I’d completely lost my voice. But by day ten, everything cleared up. I could finally eat properly, and my voice returned. 🙂The pain vanished. Honestly, I haven't even sneezed since. My advice? Just get it done. The tonsils themselves are the least of your worries; you have no idea the kind of ridiculous, unnecessary complications those little stones can cause.
I’m just looking to slim down my nose a bit. It’s actually pretty straight and fine as it is, but my nostrils feel a little too wide, so I don't think I need any heavy-handed bone reshaping—just a light refinement to trim them down. 😁 However, after digging through everything I've read, I honestly have no clue which surgeon I should even be looking for at this point. 🤷
I picked up a game the other day, but the manual is all in Chinese. I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with these blocks.
copperharbor47, if you happen to find an English version of the instructions, would you mind sending them my way?
