The thing is, that's just who the guy is—not like we haven't known this forever. He's never going to change his ways. He doesn't have that insane, raw, "out-of-this-world" pace, so he tries to make up for it by taking these absolutely wild risks, which inevitably leads to a mountain of stupid mistakes.
By the time the season wraps up, he’ll probably end up ahead of Leclerc in the standings again anyway.
So, Jos Verstappen isn't exactly hiding his feelings here—he basically said he was pretty bummed out seeing Red Bull play those strategic games to give Sergio Perez the edge over Max in Monaco
You could probably argue that Leclerc has actually been outperforming Max over the last two races, even if Max is still walking away with more points in his pocket.
