Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice?

Hi, I’m reaching out because I am honestly quite worried and could use some perspective. On a few occasions now, I've noticed mucus in my stool, and there was even a little bit of blood. My bowel movements have always been normal until recently; that specific day, I was waiting on some test results and ended up running to the restroom more often than usual just from the sheer anxiety of it all. While checking, I felt what I think was a hemorrhoid that had actually flared out. Since then, the stress of the situation has messed with my digestion. While I suspect this is all just due to hemorrhoids, I can't shake the feeling—I'm terrified that it might be something much worse.
