-man, come on, why wouldn't animals have souls too? ...or are we just acting like humans are the only ones with special privileges in that department? people say they don't remember things, but honestly... I prove myself wrong every single day just by hanging out with my pet. I learn so many little things and beautiful lessons from them. Like, if they "forget," why do they always find "their" specific spot to go to the bathroom? how does my dog know exactly when we're passing a Starbucks and needs a little snack? why is she ready to go at a moment's notice the second she sees me grab my gym clothes for a walk? or how she reacts instantly to the sound of her food bowl hitting the floor? it's all there... and you're telling me they forget everything? no way... I mean, they even dream—you can tell by the way they twitch and whimper in their sleep. just a few small examples, really...

-Look, man, seriously, don't mess this up. You've gotta snap out of it. The best move is always doing what you actually love and getting paid for it... plus, I'm sure your wife can pull in some income too. If you’re even remotely independent from your parents, you really should be at that stage by now, since they aren't exactly footing your bills or buying your clothes anymore. They could walk away tomorrow, and you'd be stuck dealing with their control for the rest of your life. Why do that? Forget the cash, the cars, or those massive mansions with pools if you're miserable deep down. It's all about feeling fulfilled... if money gets tight, you can always find something else, maybe some freelance gigs in your field, just to cover the essentials. The call is yours, assuming you aren't still tied to your folks. And what does your wife think? Is she actually on your side, or is she just looking at the price tag?... Man, honestly, you're sounding a bit like a spoiled kid who's throwing a tantrum because he doesn't have his favorite toy, all while having three different banks backing him up. Besides, you've got more options than most people... stop making such a huge drama out of nothing.
Good luck and take care👍

If you feel well enough to crawl out of bed, fire up your PC, and spend your time scrolling through garbage or typing out stupid posts... then fine. Whatever. You're doing just fine ☕

EDIT: How old are you anyway?? (My guess—you aren't even past 18)

edit—what does age have to do with anything? are you just immature or just acting like a child?
-does it actually make you happy when someone's going through hell?
-do you feel some kind of weird sense of superiority?
-if my posts seem stupid or you just don't get them because they fly right over your head... nobody's forcing you to read them....
-Yeah, it’s always easiest to kick someone while they're already down... just to make sure they really feel how much everything sucks.
-Honestly, who hasn't been there? You're lucky if you can even find a reason to get out of bed.
-And let's be real, most people don't appreciate what they have until it's gone or they've totally messed it up.
-For me, the mornings are the absolute worst. Just trying to crawl out of bed feels like pure agony... I can't tell if it's better to just write through it or sleep so I can disappear for a bit. The tears stopped coming a long time ago—just dried up and left me dehydrated years back.

-So I was reading up on this, and apparently it's a mix... you've got the part that's purely down to genetics and predisposition, then there's the other side of things—basically environmental triggers like stress, tension, fear, and all that stuff. And that second part usually kicks in around puberty, or maybe just a little bit after...

-loreto-hey, how's it going? hi there👍

I don't follow every single thread, obviously, and I'm definitely not an expert on everything, so I was wondering.... did you say anything when you noticed those "sketchy" pieces of advice

-hey-,Sandra Parker3-, if I remember right, you were hanging around this thread last year too,... plenty of people called him out on his crap, and I even told him myself how I barely clawed my way out of drug hell, just to have him talk nonsense to me. He was all like, "well, as if drugs are any better than heroin..." lecturing me on "human boundaries"... hare krishna stuff... he just constantly equates prescription meds with opioids... acting like nobody can talk sense into him because he knows best and all that... then, well, his last update was about how he ended up relapsing during detox...(I think you know who I'm talking about, and I know you do)😉

-Look, I didn't say they were just copying prescriptions, I just happened to stumble upon how they handle certain therapies... you know, the whole "you don't really need them" or "it's all about willpower" angle... plus all that talk about how those specific meds are actually harmful for things like schizophrenia or psychosis, and how nobody ever truly gets better by using them... stuff like that...

brightsailor9 said:But tell me... how do you deal with the reality of seeing a therapist? That’s what really gets to me. It might sound trivial to some, but for people like me—anxious, insecure—a past filled with social blunders makes everything harder. Sometimes it feels like I'm "forbidden" from being myself because I'll just spiral into a depression if you catch my drift... and now I just have one more thing to hide from everyone. That’s the real barrier to therapy for me. You can't say certain things in public because not everyone has good intentions. In my case, I feel like I'd be branded as unstable or unreliable before I knew it... as if that isn't already the status quo. I know I probably sound foolish, but I genuinely want to hear about your experiences. Do you talk about seeing a therapist? To what extent? And how did people react... please... (and I doubt I'm the only one feeling this way 🙂 ..)

-well, if you've got a history with therapists and clinics like I do, you'll get used to it fast. I don't have OCD, but I've dealt with plenty of other stuff. the worst part is definitely that first visit 🙏I was losing my mind, thinking, "how will they look at me? will anyone see me? how am I even supposed to talk to them?" just a ton of stupid stuff weighing me down. now, it's just routine, like grabbing a coffee with an old friend. my therapist and I joke around, we've known each other forever, and we even make fun of ourselves (and yeah, a little gossip too). friends? nothing. I don't hide anything, I just joke about it. once people see you aren't a bad person, they don't have anything to hold against you. besides, nobody's perfect, and everyone's got some secret or some struggle these days.😁
-or like, in a psych ward? ...once you realize how others are doing 😲, man, it's really not the big scary thing it used to be in small towns or out in the Midwest 😁

-Personally, I don't mind if someone's just trying to offer some genuine, well-meaning advice
(without digging too deep into someone's private business)...
-but trying to dictate someone's dosage or
telling them to scale back on meds they were officially prescribed by a doctor based on a single sentence or some vague info... that's just plain wrong. It's honestly pretty childish.

@Jeremy Palmer-which ones?
-I ran into this guy who, because of his own little "convictions," was basically telling people to ditch their therapy (questioning how they even function without it). He even went on record advocating for drugs, publicly... and now, word is he's actually on medication himself...(you know the type...)
-There were even hints of actual illegal activity involved, but isn't that what the moderators are here for?? To step in when posts cross the line.👎

Man, I'm honestly a little stumped here... not sure if you're actually asking for real or just trolling me?
-hit me up in a private message if you're being serious, alright?
-and regarding schizophrenia, it’s all pretty relative... depends on the specific category of the illness (there are tons of them) and it varies wildly from patient to patient.
-after 6 months? ...I mean, from what I've noticed, there isn't really a strict rule for that.
if you need data for some kind of paper or stats or whatever... feel free to reach out...
-plus, it can't be the same whether someone is on medication or not, dummy... because a lot of those drugs mess with excretion and secretion.

Honestly, I don't give a damn about "proper" rules or all those self-important editors out there; to me, they’re all just noise, no different than a typo or some trivial grammar nitpick.😁

Jack Collins582 said:It isn't this topic that's stinging, but rather the sheer lack of common sense, especially from you and your buddies who spend every single day sitting in some diner, blowing through your veteran benefits while trying to act like experts on daily politics—as if anyone actually cares what you think—while the rest of us are out here actually working. I'll admit, I'm done engaging because this whole thing is just pure nonsense.

Give me a break, Slavo. You just hopped on here to troll, didn't you? Looking for a fight or just trying to ruin the thread?
The mods are probably asleep, and clearly they aren't doing their jobs right anyway...

steelskipper4 said:I find myself pondering whether individuals living with schizophrenia maintain a regular digestive rhythm—specifically, if they experience daily bowel movements... please, I implore you to approach this inquiry with the utmost gravity, regardless of the fact that the etiology of severe psychiatric conditions is invariably attributed to psychological factors rather than physical aspects such as (the) lack of regular bowel movements. 🙂 ... I am not claiming to be schizophrenic myself; rather, I am simply attempting to wrap my head around a concept.

-are you asking because of antipsychotic meds? since they mess with metabolism, secretion, and excretion? ... in the beginning, there are issues, but after about two months, the body usually adapts and adjusts itself. a lot of drugs cause nasty side effects. for example, Moditen and Haldol can cause that stiffness (like walking like a robot), so Akineton gets prescribed to try and loosen you up, but it's not quite the same thing.
Leponex—usually has the toughest side effects like drooling, drowsiness, feeling hungry constantly, etc...

-honestly, what kind of league is the MLS even... our fans are way too dedicated...
-even in the big five leagues, if they played that same unwatchable, sloppy style we see here, I doubt they’d have half the die-hard supporters or organized fan groups we have back home.
-I mean, look at a team like Inter Miami—they could pull a 28-point lead over second place and still fail to make it into the Champions League in the spring, which is the ultimate dream for any supporter there.
-and those huge rivalry games? They just aren't what they used to be...

-there were a few more older ones out West... though I know some who used to go to the bigger games, like those big European matchups or the Miami games...
The Armada in Fans ·
-No changes to my usual routine, just ended up getting way more wasted than I intended—those spontaneous, out-of-control nights are always my worst, especially since I really shouldn't be drinking at all right now... and somehow I woke up feeling all philosophical, thinking I actually had something worth writing down (not that I needed to, though they say there's no room for regret after a good night's sleep)... I thought I’d reach out and give a friendly shout-out to some old friends from back in the day—we go way back to our service days together—but then I read what I wrote and realized I was completely off base, just some nonsense scribbled by a drunk brain.
-Anyway, three of my buddies just dropped by... we're hanging out at my place, grabbing some lamb to reminisce about the good old days. You remember those classic local spots? Like that little BBQ joint or the old diner?...

you hit the nail on the head🤣(seriously, I'd bet my life on it), so why wouldn't I grab a drink after such a long time? (not like it was too much anyway) and now I've been pretty buzzed for a few days straight...
-if you thought I was trying to provoke you, I really wasn't, it just got away from me a bit, honestly (just saw how it came across) y'know how it goes. it's not like you've never had a drink before, right? look, I'm done drinking, okay. first it hits you, then it takes you away, and finally it just wipes you out 😁 that's just the magic of it, man... nothing crazy about it...😉

Samuel Morgan6 said:Any sane person can see that picture is a total joke... just like how ridiculous it was seeing those old-school fans hanging out with the rival crew and chanting for the New York Yankees instead...

-So, what you're saying is that back in the 80s, a chunk of the fanbase wasn't even tight with the rivals when it came to getting fireworks or whatever... they were actually rooting against the home team during that big matchup against the Red Sox?

-But honestly, that kind of proves the point... since back then, that city was basically just full of transplants from out of state anyway...
