Sarah Edwards38 said:Yesterday evening, my right hand started itching in a few spots, and I found myself scratching subconsciously. Fine. Three different areas swelled up—they were white at first, now they've turned red. I figured once the itching stopped, it was just a spider bite or something and it would pass.
It didn't pass. Those three spots are still swollen, though at least they aren't itching anymore.
Half an hour ago at the office, I caught myself scratching my left arm without even realizing it, and I knew immediately something was wrong. Now I have the exact same swelling on the other arm, and I'm just sitting here staring at it.
I went to grab some Synopsys ointment; currently applying it.
Obviously not a spider. Not a mosquito either.
What the hell could this be? 🙄
Are the patches larger and looking like dried-out skin??
A friend of mine has been dealing with this for months and can't get rid of it... the last thing she was told was that her immune system is down and the sun is triggering it...
With semi-hard lenses, you have to ease into it by adding an extra hour of wear time every day... start with one hour, then two the next day. Then three... and I think eventually you hit about 8 hours. After that, you can wear them normally. 🙂
Yeah, but her ear is red, sore, and stinging... it's the early stages. I really wouldn't recommend trying to fix it. You might be able to keep wearing earrings, but the infection will just keep coming back. It’ll stay inflamed and festering until it finally hits a breaking point. Then you'll have pus leaking out of your ear 👎 and the redness will spread, causing the earlobe to swell up from all that internal 😳 ...
That’s just how it goes... it's infected... exactly what happened to me. You're better off calling it quits... I highly doubt you'll find some random metal on your own that won't trigger an allergic reaction...
And if you try to put them back in, things are only going to get worse 😢...
