They’re definitely radioactive, simply because they aren't made of pure silver. 😁Honestly, you’ve got trace amounts of radioactive elements in just about everything—your own eyelid, even the Enter key on your keyboard. But we're talking infinitesimal amounts here, so there’s really no reason to lose sleep over it.
If you’re worried that X-rays somehow turned them radioactive, don't be. X-rays aren't going to trigger any kind of atomic decay that transforms silver atoms into potentially radioactive nuclei. All an X-ray can do in this scenario is cause ionization, which is basically just messing with the atom's electron shell.
I'm thinking about picking up some tear gas. Just purely out of curiosity, you know, to see just how "comfortable" these colorful little poisons actually feel when they hit. 😬 Having a Shocker would be pretty sweet, too—I could definitely find a use for that. 🙂
In case you guys weren't aware, that’s actually illegal. I’m not entirely sure if just owning one falls under the law—probably doesn't—but stepping off your own property and onto public ground with it? That’s a punishable offense under U.S. law. But hey, think about it and do what you want.
A boxer is a total coward of a tool; it just inflicts nasty, heavy injuries.
You know you can immediately doubt someone’s grasp of chemistry when they start butchering scientific nomenclature by using "x" instead of "ks," swapping out "i" for "y," or messing up "ph" and "th" like they’re reading a foreign language.
The moment someone starts talking about oxymetazoline hydrochloride, sodium hydroxide, dexamethasone, or neomycin—and they're spelling it like a toddler wrote it—just run the other way. 😁
If you’re looking to get a fix of steroids, just stick to eating eggs. There’s cholesterol in the yolks, and technically, that counts as a steroid. 🙂 Secondly, I wouldn't touch anything you buy off a shelf... unless you find getting bloodwork done to be a total turn-on. 🤣
There’s no such thing as a perfect body, so stop obsessing over it. Being tanned isn't some badge of health, either. It’s actually just a red flag from your skin. It’s basically like looking at wasp stings and thinking they look great. 🙄
You start seeing these flashes of light behind your eyes, and everything starts looking blurry—like the edges of objects are just shimmering and undefined. Colors get way too intense, and you feel this weird clumsiness, like your legs just won't cooperate. It’s all happening right when things are about to hit the breaking point.
AST, ALT, and GGT are all liver enzymes—specifically aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase. I’m not going to play guessing games with W-MCR.
Actually, I should probably move this over to the Health section. That's where the discussions about lab results usually happen anyway.
Matthew Cruz41 said:I remember this one movie where a guy falls for a blind girl and tries to describe colors to her... there was this one scene...
He grabbed some ice and put it in her hands, explaining blue as the color of cold and snow... Then he took something hot (I think it was just a warm piece of food) to show her how red represents heat, warmth, love, and all that...
Maybe it helps, but honestly, that part of the film was beautiful.👍
That’s that flick with the lead actor who has that disfigured skull—I can't recall the title. If I remember correctly, his osteoclasts went haywire or something and caused massive bone growth. 🤔 He gave her a hot potato. 🙂
Heh, I watched it. Mostly just people sitting there with their mouths hanging open. Especially during those scenes in the greenhouse and the one in the bathtub.
😳 It felt a little too much like a documentary at times, maybe. But by the end, you kind of get this warm, fuzzy feeling. Like, family is everything, right? 🤣 And that Audition... what a total disaster. 😲
Trolling is basically when you're trying to have an actual debate, but your opponent acts like a total brat, just repeating themselves like some mindless parrot. Honestly, at that point, you might as well plug your ears and just keep talking to yourself. Or it's when someone jumps into a thread just to spout complete nonsense. My favorite move, though, is when you systematically dismantle their argument: you prove statement A is wrong, then they pivot to statement B, so you shut that down too, then you tackle statement C—only for them to circle right back to statement A. When you finally snap and ask, "Look, I already explained this, why are you playing dumb?!" they just hit you with that fake innocence: "Excuse me? I have no idea what you're talking about. Statement A is correct. Prove me wrong."
Flame wars, on the other hand, are just straight-up fighting. Usually, it's centered on one person. It’s often just righteous indignation that spirals out of control, which leads to all sorts of chaos. You end up getting some pretty legendary insults and colorful language thrown around in the process...
beginning of spoiler. It’s basically what happens when someone won't shut up about a movie and ends up recounting every single juicy plot twist to you. You haven't even seen it yet, and they just dump the whole thing in your lap. They've effectively to spoil the experience for you. That’s why, whenever someone starts summarizing a film, they should write BEGINNING OF SPOILER and once they're done, they need to write END OF SPOILER Honestly, some people go a step further and change the font color to a pale white that’s nearly impossible to read, or shrink the text size just to make sure you can't accidentally stumble upon the content under normal circumstances.
In English, ban means a prohibition or being forbidden from something. Think of it as being stripped of your right to post on a forum. It happens when you keep talking nonsense, breaking the rules, and racking up "red cards." If you hit 100 strikes at once, you get banned. You can definitely get more than that. These strikes have an expiration date, too. But if you rack up 1,000 too quickly, you're looking at a permaban—meaning your account is blocked for good. Usually, the people getting hit with these are the ones spamming ads for their businesses ("Hey, come over here and make money!"), people running clone accounts to bypass existing bans, or those truly "special" characters you run into on the Politics and... yeah, let's just say those subforums. That's pretty much the gist of it. 😁
Three folks with maybe one or two posts to their names are out here debating how this guy supposedly cured people using "zero-point therapy," while throwing around mentions of magnet therapy—which we all know is just high-end snake oil.
Of course this whole thing stinks to high heaven. Also, just a heads-up: you aren't allowed to post email addresses on these forums. Scrub them from your posts immediately unless you're looking for a permanent ban from the Health sub moderators...
Can someone give me the straight scoop on what this actually is? Something about this feels off, and I really don't want to be the one looking foolish by speaking up prematurely. What's this guy's deal, anyway? Is he even a licensed doctor?
Hm, does this count as an ad? 😕 Anyway, I hope I’m not breaking any rules here—though this topic practically begs for an answer—but I wanted to mention Mayo Clinic. They are incredibly professional and polite; if you have questions, you’ll get straight answers from two doctors, sometimes even three, all at once. Even when they're slammed, you can usually walk in and be seen the very same day.
Andrew Jackson83 said:I take my diet pretty seriously. Every single day, I make sure to get plenty of seeds 🙂 (flax, sunflower, soy, etc.), carob, coconut, cinnamon, and fruit—I never skip my morning glass of freshly squeezed orange or grapefruit juice. Bananas are a staple too, just for that serotonin boost. I also stay on top of my supplements with a B-Complex and a daily dose of Vitamin C. Generally speaking, my meals are diverse and high quality. As for fitness, I do about 40 minutes of Yoga every morning, plus I hit an outdoor class twice a week for an hour. It’s something I truly enjoy. To mix things up, I'll do some jump rope or play a game of squash now and then. I don't let myself slack off 👍 ! My one current vice... cigarettes 😎 . Old-school remedies? Absolutely. Various herbal teas, body scrubs, hair masks...
It feels like such a massive amount of effort just to throw it all away with cigarettes. "😎" If you can kick the smoking habit, you'll find it much easier to dial back that intense daily routine. Right now, it seems like you're being a bit obsessive about everything else to compensate. 😉

Look, just take him to a legitimate speech therapist or a licensed psychologist—get a referral from a doctor or someone you actually trust. Don't go throwing money at some snake-oil salesman. It’s better for your bank account and, more importantly, it's better for your son.
