Honestly, I think our defense was actually more solid than Spain's, yet we still managed to slide into this loss. How much did that disastrous defensive showing in the first half really cost us? Damn. A real shame—we were right there.

Regardless of the defense, you have to swap out the keeper after they let in two or three. Schmal was already giving up most of those on fast breaks and transition plays—that's why he was pulled. Something fundamental needs to change.
