If they just spin up a new squad and scoop up points from both existing teams, it sets a nasty precedent. A brand-new team didn't actually earn those points. We could end up with two top-tier drivers teaming up mid-season in some newly formed outfit and just steamrolling their way to the Constructors' Championship. Here’s how I see it working: since Soleri has more points than the Underdogs, briskhound76 should just leave the Underdogs and jump ship to Soleri. He can't take his points with him, so the Underdogs keep those points in the standings. It’s early days anyway, and Soleri starting with 45 points is a solid foundation. From there, they just stack points together under the Soleri banner. Even if they decide to rename the team later, they keep the points because they're legally the same entity as Soleri.
To put it simply: if Tsunoda moved to Aston Martin instead of Vettel—who hasn't even scored a single point—he wouldn't carry those 2 points over; they’d stay with AlphaTauri. And if AlphaTauri and Aston Martin tried to merge halfway through the season? There's zero chance the FIA would let them combine their points.

I would like to propose the addition of a new primary scoring metric to our system. Much like how Formula 1 drivers are awarded points for securing the fastest lap, perhaps we could implement a rule where the forum member who achieves the highest number of accurate placements within a specific round earns one major point. What are your thoughts on such a measure?

My bad, I accidentally put VER in 7th place. Can someone fix the log? I meant to put VET there. Thanks. 😁

Honestly, we can’t help but be stoked after a race like that. Taking second and third just goes to show the team finally decided to get serious, and now we’re actually breathing down the title contender's neck. Lennart is definitely looking like a legitimate championship threat for the rest of the season, and as for the constructors' title? After today, I wouldn't bet against us for a second.
Just a quick heads-up that Life on Mars, ivic27, and Templar are officially out of jokers. From here on out, they've gotta get their predictions in before every single race starts.
