🙏 I'm with you 👍

Because, let's be honest: we all occasionally tune into a soap opera, and we all sometimes find ourselves air-drumming along to a beat, or even periodically yelling at the TV when the Cowboys (or the Giants, or whoever...)
are playing. That doesn't make us uncultured primitives!!!

The real issue lies at both extremes:
a) The ones who are obsessed and start shaking like a leaf if they can't watch.
b) The ones who swear they NEVER, EVER do any of this, and try to label everyone else as the problem.

Go ahead, drop one in Central Park just so you can get ignored there too... 😈

It's not enough to just ask a question .... 😠 😠 😠

You have to know who you're asking, then what you're asking, and what exactly you want to learn from the answers... only then can you figure out why on earth 🙄

People feel like you're just messing with them 🙂

PS. Honestly, these posts make it look like you're in the early stages of Alzheimer's 🙂

I'm worried you might have messed up this food review too 😛

What would you even compare that to?

What are your thoughts on Natasha Kampusch? in Psychology ·
Anthony Kim18 said:hmmm. It sounds too good to be true.
It feels like watching a movie where she's just playing herself.

Setting aside the psychological reading of her body language...

what really stands out to me is her vocabulary and syntax (not even talking about translations, but her actual German phrasing). It seems way too advanced for someone who dropped out of school at ten years old and spent eight years in total social isolation.

She sounds a bit too academic for an eighteen-year-old who's actually been out in the world, let alone someone isolated from everything. Did anyone else catch her mentioning books she’d read or anything? I didn't.😕

So, yesterday around 5:40 PM, a buddy of mine—not an American local, just a guy from Chicago—headed out downtown wearing this bright green and yellow striped shirt, then he was already back home by 9:30...
- Was he wearing that shirt just to stir the pot?
- Did he head home early because someone told him to tone it down?

I don't really get what I did wrong. No moderator or anyone else gave me a heads-up. It's not like I forced anyone to read my post. If I put it in the wrong section, I'm sorry.

I guess everything is always my fault.🙂

Check your PMs. 😘

Nathan Bailey65 said:Whatever happened to that old saying, "We Hillbillies have always been good to you Americans"? Where did things go wrong?

Actually, that proverb refers to Midwesterners, not Hillbillies... and Hillbillies are loyal to both the Kingdom and the local tavern. Learn your sayings before you try quoting them.😎

Man, it’s basically over... they totally wiped out our local diner because Deimos decided to park right in the middle of everything 😢

I'm heading to bed 🙂 🙂

Over on the main page with all those serious, grim types, we can't...😳

Then just learn how to move the whole thread instead of just the last page!!!😠 Seriously, 😈 what are you even doing this for? Is it just a bad mood or something, man? What's gotten into you?

torquemada please 🙂 , don't go killing the vibe. We were actually having a great time without any insults or drama until you showed up... honestly, just move us back to America so someone else can deal with us if you can't handle the heat. Besides, deimos clearly messed up when they posted 🙂

amberorca192 said:Judging addicts like they're some kind of monsters is incredibly shallow. Honestly, that kind of talk usually comes from people who don't understand addiction at all. I personally know about 40 long-term heroin users, and they aren't any different from anyone else in society. Sure, there are some homeless people, liars, or petty thieves, but there are also genuinely good people—people who hold down jobs and don't hurt anyone just because they use.

There's an old saying for a reason: "You are who you hang out with."

And here we are, trying to argue with you.🙄

I really don't want to have to start deleting comments... Thanks!

Edward Green If you're the kind of addict who needs a dedicated room just to manage your habit—especially when you've already got the PC, the high-speed internet, and the phone line to pull it off—then clearly you can afford your own self-destruction. Why on earth would I chip in? What am I getting out of this? What exactly are you offering me? You gonna sell me your soul🙂? Or 🙂 honestly, all that junkie trash is 🙂 🙂

..

Good point. 👍

The healthcare system really needs to be individualized... if a parent wants to give up their own medical care, they should just transfer those funds to their kid. Especially since those kids think they can cure rheumatism with prayer.

Edward Green said:What you're doing is fine, but maybe try showing a little less ego and a little more heart.

I can show compassion to People, but not to those who’ve completely abandoned their humanity by choosing the life of addicts, thieves, and lowlifes who rob their own parents or harass people in their own neighborhoods...

And don't try to tell me I need to be understanding toward everyone here. This applies strictly and exclusively to drug addicts!

Edward Green said:If you get lung cancer—which I hope you never do—you'll likely end up spending way more on healthcare than you ever paid into the system. It's the same with HIV. Or even if you're in a bad car accident and need surgery, an ICU stay, and months of rehab just to walk again.

For instance.

Alright, now why don't you explain to the rest of us how addicts—who have rightfully earned those medical benefits—actually contribute anything to the system, whether it's financially or otherwise?

Like, for example... yuck.

Edward Green said:Do you smoke? Eat junk? Skip the gym? Jog on asphalt? Speed? Ever get in a car with a drunk driver? Use protection every single time?

Yes, yes, no, no, yes, no, no.

And I’m more than happy to take on the responsibilities that come with my medical needs because:
a) I actually cause injury sometimes, meaning I pay way more into the system through my premiums than I've ever used.
b) Because I've stayed healthy enough to be a regular blood donor—helping people who truly need it without stopping to wonder if that blood is going to some drunk who caused a wreck or some "innocent angel."
c) Because I have a donor card, and if 😈 takes me to someone in need, there shouldn't be restrictions just because some lowlife ruined their liver with booze or their lungs with cigarettes.

Enough? Or do you want more?😠

Also, tell me, which addict actually meets all those criteria?

Honestly, I don't really get why this kind of question is being asked in the Health section... maybe it would be better to start a new subforum for Illness😕
