If that's the case, just ignore everything I've said up to this point.☕
Look, I'm not part of the Navy or any USA group. I'm just an average resident living by the Hudson River, totally neutral when it comes to sports. Though, by pure coincidence—living over in Brooklyn—I’ve been a fan of the East Coast since I was a kid 👋 and my love for the local club came a little later. Still, I get just as much joy watching both teams win.🤷 And honestly? I wouldn't trade this city for Monaco for anything.☕
I get it, the Navy and the USA crowd are never going to be buddies. That's fine. But destroying someone else's work without adding any actual creativity of your own? That’s just pathetic. Say what you want, but when the Navy does graffiti, it's actually decent stuff—each piece stands on its own and proves you can actually make something high-quality. Which is why I feel even more embarrassed about that crap near the Tower. That eyesore is looking even worse now than that slab of concrete that swallowed up the playground downtown. A total disaster. It’s like kids were playing with spray cans before their cartoons started.
And here's the thing: I wonder which "genius" decided that mural down there was such an issue. It doesn't insult anyone, it looks nice, and there isn't a single problematic thing about it. Just pathetic.👎 But hey, I guess someone's ego got bruised. How dare some third-tier fans make a piece of art, right? Such nerve! And right next to the Tower, where thousands of people from Cleveland (and everywhere else) walk past and see it. How do they dare? They should stick to their three little side streets and scribble whatever they want there. The other 257 streets belong to the Navy anyway; they're bigger and their dads have more money.☕🤣
I don't know, that's just how it looks to me.
Honestly, the Navy should just publish their own book street directory so everyone knows exactly how things stand. At least then thousands of Clevelanders won't have to stare at that fresh pile of garbage by the Tower or the tracks. Or anywhere else, for that matter.
p.s. Seriously, just paint or draw something else over it. Anything. Even a Smurf, or a vision, or Saturn, or something... just so that mess isn't sitting there.🤦 It's such a waste to ruin a space that's a meter by a meter seventeen, especially in a city where there's already way too little room for graffiti.

Today went alright enough, 🎉, though I had this veteran nurse hovering over me the whole time, insisting that everything is purely psychological—that if you just tell yourself things will be fine, they will be. As soon as she started digging in to draw my blood, I just shoved a Hershey's bar into my mouth and washed it down with some juice, then made sure to sit still for a little while afterward, which really helped everything settle down. 😍
In my opinion, you really ought to carry a little something sweet with you, and the trick is to start eating it the moment they begin the needlework, or perhaps have some sugary juice on hand. Also, it is absolutely vital that you don't just bolt upright immediately; you need to stay seated or lie down with your feet propped up a bit if you can manage it. And please, don't feel embarrassed about telling the nurses that you aren't feeling well; it’s actually helpful for them to know when you need a hand. There was an older gentleman there today who felt quite faint after his blood draw, so he just rested there on one of those black exam tables, and he ended up being just fine.
Someone also mentioned that the waiting rooms desperately need better ventilation, and I couldn't agree more; having some fresh air circulating would definitely do wonders.👍
I usually don't even realize I've been knocked out until everything's already over—you know, like when you finally come to after being totally unconscious.🤣 And then there’s me, just surrounded by a bunch of random faces looking at me like I’ve got two heads or something. Total strangers, just staring with these puzzled expressions. Honestly, it's a bit much.😁 So, a few moments ago, I was actually right in the middle of helping out some random person who had just passed out. Total chaos, honestly. Just one of those things where you're just standing there and suddenly you're part of a rescue mission for someone you don't even know.🤣

I’ve never once gone in for a blood draw without passing out cold 🤷...and it’s not even during the poke, either. It’s usually about thirty minutes after. First, I notice the pictures I’m looking at start losing their color, then everything just goes silent... and then... pitch black. The one thing I always remember afterward is seeing this crowd gathered around me, everyone frantically trying to snap me back to reality 😁And it happens every single time. For years now. But I have noticed one thing in the process (experience, I guess 😁). Personally, that smell in those clinics—that "blood smell," as I call it—really gets to me. It’s this weird, heavy metallic scent... that’s how blood smells to me 🤷and just catching a whiff of it makes me feel slightly nauseous. I don't even know why it happens 😕Most people I tell don't really get it, especially when I try to explain how specifically it smells to me 🤷like some kind of raw metal
