But seriously—do you guys actually think something like that could ever play out in Russia?
In my view, the guy is basically a walking God over there—completely untouchable.

It’s a bit of a grim setup, isn't it? You sign up for the citizenship, and in return, they hand you a Kalashnikov and a vest that offers about as much protection as a heavy sweater against anything more than a toy gun, then tell you to get moving toward the front lines.
Honestly, I suspect most of these people saw this coming. I doubt there's going to be much of an outcry about it.

She could have just danced like a typical lady and then gone to get tested for drugs. Who cares about the alcohol levels? As long as it isn't drugs, it's fine.
And? Where exactly does your logic lead you when you compare getting high on chaos by breaking things versus just having a good time dancing?
The assumption here is that in both scenarios, people are partying while under the influence.
Jessica Peterson2 said:Ahahah, now this is getting ridiculous. 😬 With one single exception—Russian tourists in East Asia mostly behave like a horde of drunken hooligans. Honestly, they can be even more obnoxious than British youths on the Spanish islands. 😂 In reality, they’re worse than those two idiots from this comedy show. So, if I were you, I’d take news like this with a massive grain of salt. 😬
The Russian tourists I’ve run into in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Thailand behave like total entitled jerks. Mostly young people, unfortunately.

At the end of the day, the real question is whether it's actually more cost-effective to just buy the finished fertilizer from Russia or manufacture it ourselves using Russian gas.
Honestly, what would actually work is if the whole planet decided to "get real" for a second—moving toward smaller profit margins and organic methods. Just a collective normalization. If you can make organic fertilizer at home, industry could theoretically do the same, though the trade-off is lower profits and having to actually employ more people.
In this day and age, everyone would be thrilled if they didn't have to deal with payroll, taxes, or anything else besides stacking profits—even though most of them already have way more than they could ever spend.
The wealthy became hungrier than the poor a long time ago.
I haven't seen anything from grg4 lately, which I guess isn't really a surprise given how things have been going. Melissa Bailey5 says: standard-bearer So, you've got this guy, probably a bit tipsy most of the time, who just loves dragging a flag out of his car while driving through a wedding procession or something... basically acting like some kind of wannabe standard-bearer. standard-bearer So, that standard-bearer thing is basically what you just laid out above, I guess.
🤣🤣 It’s kind of weird how people still wave that standard-bearer around while they're heading toward the college dorms or trekking from the campus over to some church or a restaurant... I guess they're just trying to make sure they aren't totally wasted before they actually get there. 🙂
Andrew Booth29 said:The term "barjaktar" is essentially an outsider's word, a derivative born from the shift of the Turkish "bayraktar." So, in American English terms, "bayraktar" is simply the direct equivalent of "barjaktar." 😬 Basically, a flag-carrier. And yeah, they're usually drunk.
Look, we’re here to talk about hardware, not wedding processions or who’s carrying the flag. If a piece of equipment is branded as a Bayraktar, then that’s its name—period. I don't care about etymology, linguistic shifts, or where the root comes from. It's a Bayraktar😁.
Dana Robinson4 said:The Predator is really just twenty years older than its predecessor—essentially an old veteran carrying much more advanced communication systems, yet burdened by far less efficient and significantly more expensive weaponry, wouldn't you agree?
A standard-bearer is usually just some drunk guy dragging a flag out of a car during a wedding parade, whereas the Bayraktar is exactly what you described above.
Does anyone have any advice on how to set this thing up so the kids get cut off from the internet after an hour? With my old routers, I could just schedule when the internet *wasn't* working—pretty straightforward—but this interface seems to work the exact opposite way. It’s a bit backwards, if you ask me, and honestly, a little frustrating to navigate.
Just wanted to give an update after running some tests. I just tried swapping in two different genuine toner cartridges, but the result is identical—those same streaks appearing in almost the exact same spot every time. What should my next move be? :/
One more thing—I might be able to get my hands on a decent stash of empty toner cartridges (not just for this specific model). Is there actually a market for those somewhere, and does anyone know what kind of price I could realistically ask for them?
I’ll give it a shot—found a full set of replacement toner cartridges on eBay for a decent price (around $50). To be honest, the printer is actually my most urgent need right now (go ahead, laugh)—I need it once a month just to print out the payment slip for my son’s school lunch program! I think I'll probably play it safe for a while and see if I can track down someone else who owns this same model; maybe we could swap toners and see if that actually works... 🙂
I got this printer for basically nothing, so I don't mind dropping a little cash to get it back in shape. If I want to give it a full service and swap out the fuser, I’m looking at spending roughly $50. My main issue is just figuring out where to start—it keeps blinking that orange light after every single page, even though there isn't a paper jam to be found.
So, here is what I need to grab first: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-LJ-1010-1...item1c2d6b6c9b
And then this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-LJ-1010-1...item1c2bdec249
The toner currently inside is some off-brand knockoff—there aren't any HP markings on it—but judging by how it landed in my lap, the machine definitely worked at some point.
I've attached a video below showing it printing completely blank pages (just a Word doc with zero content), so you can see exactly what kind of mess we're dealing with: http://youtu.be/p9IWepqxeWU
I forgot to mention—it’s also smudging the prints, even in areas where there isn't actually anything scheduled to be printed. Instead of leaving the paper clean and white, it just leaves this light layer of "dirt" or residue everywhere.
From what I can gather, earlier owners ended up ditching this printer altogether because of constant paper jams. Nobody seemed to complain about the actual print quality—which is a shame—but whatever. So, it’s not just a quick fix; I’m looking at ordering those two specific parts from the top and swapping them out. I actually took the thing apart a bit ago to clean everything, but honestly, it didn't change a thing...
Looking back at your comment, you mentioned the rollers? You think they might have kicked the bucket too?
