Anything that doesn't give the mind or the soul a real workout gets boring fast—I mean, where's the substance? (And honestly, what was the point of watching that 90-minute thing you already saw anyway...) 😁
The bottom line is this: go watch the movie. Seriously, you're probably not going to find anything better than this out there. Mike Leigh is easily one of the top five directors on the planet, and he proves it once again with this one. It’s a phenomenal piece of cinema—if you miss out on this, you're really going to regret it. 🙂
Blue Eyes said:Mickey, I bet you were totally crushing on Chin O'Brian 😉 😁 or maybe even Chuck Norris 😉
I basically spent my entire childhood glued to the screen at the local AMC theater watching Kung Fu flicks... and please, let's not start some massive, never-ending thread about Bruce Lee right now 🙂
P.S. I actually caught three moderators chatting in the chat room—just giving the rest of you forum members a little example of how it's done 😁
P.P.S. Honestly, Chuck Norris’s best role was alongside Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon" (granted, he didn't have much screen time, but hey, that makes it his best performance by default 😁 )
Look, did he make a profit? Sure. But we’re the ones who backed him into a corner, so you could say we played a part in that too. 😁 As for us moderators, someone like Steven Ruiz should really be setting the standard here. 😁 But anyway, back to the point—doesn't it drive you crazy how almost every single Hollywood blockbuster follows the exact same cookie-cutter formula?
Hey Steven Ruiz, tell me why the hell you never fall for those same tired tropes every single Hollywood blockbuster leans on. I mean, sure, they’re fine for a mindless watch, but for god's sake, you can't survive on nothing but junk food alone 😁
I don't see why I'd bother stressing them out with pointless details, but if they actually land a solid head coach, then we're golden 😁 The Two Towers is colorful and vibrant and all that jazz (though you've seen that visual flair before 😉), but man, you really need to go watch All or Nothing by one of the greatest British directors ever, Mike Leigh. 🙂
Listen, Steven Ruiz, you need to track down one of those old-school, authentic kung fu flicks from the Warner Bros. era. Once you see it, you'll realize just how much of a joke this karate guy really is...😁
