Look, if a bunch of kids in an apartment complex suddenly fell ill after a cellular antenna was installed, there would be absolute chaos among the research institutes. A situation like that is simply impossible to sweep under the rug.

Nick Naylor: Gentlemen, practice these words in front of the mirror: Although we are constantly exploring the subject, currently there is no direct evidence that links cell phone usage to brain cancer.
There is also a basic lesson in antenna physics: antennas aren't designed to beam their maximum radiation straight down at the ground, because that would be completely illogical. The peak radiation intensity is distributed in the shape of a torus. Think of it like a lighthouse. It doesn't aim its light directly at the base of the tower; it casts its beam out toward the horizon. This design, combined with mounting the equipment on a high structure, ensures broad coverage. In reality, the signal is actually at its weakest directly beneath the antenna.

And that’s why people are constantly jumping around while they're talking on their phones.

It’s not as if anyone would ever dream of placing an antenna on a tall building, because then it might tilt downward and "illuminate" a larger surface area, potentially hitting the phones held by pedestrians passing by, right?

On topic:
As Nick mentioned, there is currently no evidence, nor does anyone have the slightest desire to find any. If someone were to actually stumble upon definitive proof, the mobile industry would simply commission a handful of three-month studies within two weeks that conclude nothing is certain.
And that researcher would most likely find themselves unemployed.

maybe they're from Australia and got kicked by a kangaroo... 😬 anyway, we basically live in a universe where 90% of energy is electromagnetic. It's enough to say that our sight, hearing, and even all our other senses operate on the principle of electromagnetic energy 🙂 (Brian Green - space fabric). if that energy actually caused cancer, we would have all dropped dead a long time ago... 🙂
My refrigerator just gave out on me. I can't say for sure what went wrong, but I've got this nagging feeling it might be due to all that Wi-Fi radiation... 🤔

Donnie Darko is way better than both those movies, which is probably why they flopped so hard at the box office...

Well, Donnie Darko is one of those films that really divides people... calling it just a "good" movie feels like a bit of a stretch, doesn't it? It’s definitely one of those polarizing ones where you either love it or you hate it... though, I suppose it's still one of those flicks you really ought to see at least once, which isn't quite the case for something like Waterworld, for sure...
analogbison... just thinking out loud here... things feel different lately... almost like we're all waiting for something that hasn't quite arrived yet... anyway... hope everyone is having a good one... kaže:
To me, Costner is kind of like Nicolas Cage...

Hehe, it’s honestly wild... I was just sitting here thinking the exact same thing, how Costner compares to Cage... 😁Just a joke, really... but those characters are practically identical... 🙂

That bit about the water applies to both "Cutthroat Island" and "Waterworld," though I bet that rule changed once "Pirates of the Caribbean" hit the scene...

Sure, those pirates were a massive hit, but let's be real... Johnny is just Johnny 😉 , whether we're talking about the ocean, kids, or even the desert sands of Las Vegas 🙂...

I just couldn't get into all that scrap metal and heavy industrial aesthetic..
I sat through it yesterday..
Mind you, had I known that Costner was essentially pivoting toward erotica—much like Seve did back then—I most likely wouldn't have even bothered going
to watch the movie.0
"Stolen" adult content serves as incredibly effective promotional material; if anything, they can simply exploit it for leverage.

Well, that wasn't even a stolen porn clip. That was just a film he shot way back before he hit the big time with "Dances with Wolves"...🙂
I honestly think it's because back then, everyone was talking about how Costner was filming some kind of softcore adult movie, or something along those lines...🙂

Look, I’m definitely no expert here, but I’m pretty sure addiction is just a much faster lane to... well, hm... schizophrenia F20... though it doesn't always have to be as bad as people make it out to be :P
