So, I’ve been dealing with this spot on my face for a while now... basically, I had a massive pimple a bit ago, and I ended up squeezing it during PE class. Now, instead of a pimple, I’ve just got this dark mark sitting right where it was, and it’s been sticking around way longer than it should. It doesn't actually hurt or anything, but it looks pretty crappy, and honestly, it's driving me nuts because I'm naturally pretty pale and this thing just stands out like a sore thumb. -.- I really don't feel like going to the doctor for it, though, because they'll probably just order a bunch of tests to investigate it, and I really don't need that headache right now—I need to stay focused on finishing up school.☕
I honestly don't get why people act so weirded out when they see a guy in shorts... like, what's the big deal? :S I rolled up to campus today wearing just a T-shirt and shorts and 👎
Zelga??? Are you serious? :S
I’ve been doing some Jiu Jitsu 😁
Three times a week, sessions run about 1 hour and 20 minutes
It's paying off $83
Is that overkill or what?
Plus, I'd be training under someone like Mike Bencic
There’s zero Jiu-Jitsu in Pula :S. All I found was the stuff I already listed
Honestly, I’m still on the fence xD. I have no clue what the kickboxing coaches are like around here. I checked out a few local gyms where guys have been training for years... and honestly? Not impressed. They told me practice starts with 30 minutes of soccer, then some light drills, and then just basic partner work. And they only train twice a week? :S Doesn't sound like a great way to actually get good. :S
As for Judo and Taekwondo, word on the street is the coaches there are top-tier. :S
Here’s the Judo club I’m looking at:
Dean Ilić - Current U.S. National Champion in the 90 kg division.
Elvis Klacar
Manuel Tikulin - Official Referee for USA Judo.
Milos Vukotic
Regarding TKD, I only found one main coach, though there are others listed.
SLAVKO JEREB - He earned his 6th Dan black belt directly under General CHOI HONG HI.
Apparently, he even spent some time doing intensive training over in Korea. I don't know much about this stuff yet (at least not yet xD).
Which one should I pick? Man, they both look good xD. But if I'm being real, the idea of hitting things sounds way more appealing than rolling around on a mat with someone all day xD. What do you guys think? Which path is the better move??
hmmm.... been scrolling through some kickboxing stuff online, and honestly, it's just not my vibe xD ... I'm leaning more toward judo or maybe taekwondo 😁 but I can't decide which one hits better... judo seems like wrestling but with all these throws and rolls, right? And is taekwondo somewhere in the middle between judo and kickboxing? What do you guys think? I need something that’s going to work my entire body, not just target specific spots.
@placidbison20 thanks 🙂
Boxing - Karate - Judo - Capoeira - Wrestling - Kickboxing - Tae Kwon Do
Looking for some advice on which one to pick. I'm on the shorter side (around 5'9") and pretty lean at 136 lbs, but I've got a bit of a rough edge to me. That’s actually why I want to get into combat sports—I’m way too aggressive for things like soccer or handball. xD
Got strong legs and good balance, though my upper body strength isn't exactly elite yet. I'm fast, too. Not sure which discipline would give me the best edge, so let me know what you guys recommend. 🙂
Can anyone tell me what kind of martial arts I can train in Pula? :S All I know is there's Judo... maybe something like Muay Thai out there?
