look, when you're quoting someone, maybe try to actually process what they were trying to say first.
you completely missed the point, honestly.

the soccer cup semifinals should basically be a massive holiday for the sport, right? like, it’s a given they should be broadcast on TV...

i was being ironic, though i guess you aren't the first person to fall for that. people really need to read with a bit more nuance, I suppose.
if they even bother reading at all...

Man

I mean, I'm also pretty curious about the cup semifinals

You actually buy that? They saw what the Philadelphia 76ers pulled off and decided to jump on the bandwagon too..

Maybe go ask someone working at an outlet like ESPN how much of a nightmare it is dealing with the Los Angeles Lakers' "marketing" strategy. Then it might actually make sense to you.

Look, I'm a huge Los Angeles Lakers fan, for the record.. which is exactly why this kind of attitude and these blatant lies bother me so much.

I'm with you.
And I'm just as sure that if there was any actual interest from any network, we'd see the games being broadcast. But there just isn't any interest.
I mean, who honestly cares about a cup semifinal... 🙄

You know as well as I do that's just not how it works.

Real Madrid doesn't have anyone left to sell the broadcasting rights to for this match. That's why they're just doing a stream.
There are two games on the NBA schedule today. I bet the guys from Cleveland would love to see them go up against the Lakers.
ESPN definitely isn't going to broadcast both games today. If they actually had Alcaraz on their roster, maybe they'd give us one of the matches.

I guess anything is possible if you really want it to be.

the cup, basketball championships

looks like the whole idea of just having one broadcast a day is already going down the drain...

man, what kind of ball is that...
homegrown stuff
it’s a killer photo though, look at those snouts...

Actually, looking back at that previous pic, it wasn't Lesjak, it was Andrej Panadić...
sorry for the detour...

Man, oh man...

Everything was just killer: the drive, the gig, all the random bullshit we got into...
