Does anyone actually know how the rules work these days? A family member of mine just ended up being hospitalized—without any supplemental insurance—and the doctors are estimating about $667 of inpatient stay. So, if the person stays for 10 days, does that mean the bill is going to be $6667? And what about all the tests and extra stuff... or will the total just be $667 regardless of the length of the stay? I honestly can't make heads or tails of it anymore. It feels like they've gone totally irrational... I don't understand why they keep deducting my hard-earned money from my paycheck every month if I have zero coverage as a standard policyholder. Also, if someone decides to pick up a supplemental insurance policy now, how long is the waiting period before it actually kicks in for hospital stays? I tried digging through the Medicare website, but I couldn't find anything remotely helpful.

I mean, at least two grand—maybe $1533 or somewhere around $1667... what good is a limit of $767? It’s practically non-existent. I mean, seriously, what can I actually buy today with that kind of money? Literally nothing. So why am I even paying their monthly fees? Especially since I’ve been a loyal customer for years—my whole family has been with this bank, too—and my checking account is always solid (never once hit a red balance or gone into overdraft), not to mention my savings there... and what do they offer me in return? Absolutely nothing. I'm not some naive kid they can just push stuff onto; I'm not buying it. And if I were using one of those premium credit cards, would they suddenly grant me a three-thousand-dollar limit? What could they possibly increase it to then? Because right now, I can't get an increase simply because I want a "standard" debit card instead of one of those fancy high-tier options. I don't see why that's suddenly becoming an issue for them.

I’ve decided to walk away from the whole thing—they’re offering me a credit limit of just one grand, roughly $767, because apparently I’m on minimum wage... or so they told me at the branch. Honestly, I don't see the point of having this card for such a tiny revolving balance when I always have enough cash on hand if I need it—I'd much rather just pay upfront anyway. I needed a higher limit, which they refused to grant, so it’s goodbye Go Card. From what I can tell, Chase and Bank of America are much better to deal with across the board, and I’ll most likely be moving my business over to Bank of America soon. They even tried to talk me into switching to their premium tier just so they'd *consider* bumping up my limit... yeah, I'm not buying that story 😠 🙄

Does anyone happen to know what the annual fee is for this card? Or is it just a monthly charge? Also, can I just request a standalone Go Card without being forced into any extra features or fees? My plan is pretty simple—I'd mainly use it for installment plans over about six months and maybe some online shopping or PayPal stuff. For years now, I've just been sticking to a basic checking account, but JP Morgan Chase keeps trying to push this whole suite of services on me for $18 a month... I honestly have zero use for it, so there's really no reason to hand over an extra $220 per year...
