I’m honestly counting down the days until the Euro starts so I can watch Spain face off against us; maybe Slaven Bilić and the rest of the crew🙏🙏🙏 will just absolutely steamroll them with an 8-0 blowout😠. But seriously, hats off to the boys, they really earned it along with Lina. Honestly, if they had just clocked the ref right in the face, they probably could have finished him off and then those awful officials would have been forced to toss him out of the game.
Denmark beat World champions Germany 26-25 to reach The Final of The European Championships in New York City.
The US home team also went through to Sunday's final after beating holders France 24-23.
The Americans booked their place in the last round after "Les Bleus" failed to equalise on their final possession with six seconds left.
It looks like we’re taking the title this time. There is zero chance we lose playing on our own turf. America all the way to >!!!
The English media seems to be getting it all wrong; it’s probably for the best they haven't swapped out Bilić🙏 for Balić🙏 and labeled him the coach while naming Lina Červar the MVP instead.😂
I suppose the reports coming out of Euro 2008 will probably look pretty much like this too, especially once we step onto the court for the finals in front of 40,000 screaming American fans.😬🙏
The US is absolutely golden right now; everything just seems to be falling perfectly into place. I mean, we spent the whole time playing our part, moving through the groups steadily, while they followed behind us in the second phase. I honestly think we’ll go out there and give them a run for their money in the finals, maybe edging them out by just a single goal to snatch the gold. Then, they can head back home talking about how they blew us out by ten points earlier and spinning those tall tales about how beautiful their style of play was, or whatever else helps them sleep at night.☕
Honestly, look, I know we all saw it—it’s the truth, and God knows they weren't exactly playing at their best. But I don't think they ever really had that one moment where everyone was perfectly in sync on the court together. Just imagine if this team actually had a day where every single player found their rhythm and played at their absolute peak. If that happens, they could easily hold Denmark to a 15-point gap, or maybe even push the French team back by 25. ☕
Bradley Nelson2 said:It’s pretty much common knowledge that our local news outlets are a total joke. I honestly don't even know where to start with the journalists; if I tried to list their flaws, the list would go on forever. But looking at the national team, they've been playing absolutely terrible offensively over these last three games. There's just zero creativity, no set plays, nothing—everything feels like it's being scraped together by pure luck. We really are just lucky that our players, despite looking completely lost out there, possess enough individual talent to stay afloat. Comparing those first three games to these last three... it's night and day. Aside from maybe a ten-minute stretch during the game against Mexico where they actually looked somewhat organized, it's been rough.
I couldn't agree more, though you also see those big-name teams that play with incredible flair and beauty but ultimately produce zero results—just think back to how the US played against Brazil🙏. It was gorgeous, truly, and nobody else played them quite like that, but what did it get us? We ended up losing and heading home anyway. It's the same with the handball players; you watch them and they look phenomenal, yet they finished in 5th place😢. Now that they aren't playing, they'll probably end up in 1st👍
Bradley Nelson2 said:It’ll happen eventually, though I’d probably bet on the French to pull it off🤣 I suppose they just need some way to make up for those losses😢
Addictions are such nasty things; you just feel yourself sinking deeper and deeper into them, as for the finals, maybe America will take it. Germany might give Americans the gold with those seven-meter shots😲, while the Danes might settle for silver☕
I suppose it’s just that typical American mentality we deal with. One day, after a loss to Denmark, the headlines are all about how everything is a total disaster—nothing but misery, shame, calling the coach useless, the players pathetic, and so on. Then, a day later, after a win against Mexico, suddenly it's "phenomenal coaching by Ćervar," "phenomenal players," and "the perfect national team." By tomorrow, they'll be calling them HEROES in every single newspaper. But if, by some chance, they end up losing to The Frenchman by more than ten points, the headlines will shift instantly to calling them vermin or TRAITORS. 🙂 I honestly feel like our media outlets are just jokes that exist solely to stir the pot and fan the flames of drama.☕
It’s just one of those things that really stings, I suppose. Back when we were playing such incredible, seamless basketball, we only dropped a single game throughout the entire tournament before finishing 5th 😲. It honestly hurts to watch now, seeing them play so sluggishly and just looking completely lifeless on the court. But then again, they did make it to the semifinals, and I guess my only hope at this point is that they somehow manage to stumble their way through—playing just as poorly as they are now—but somehow scraping by to beat both the Frenchmen and the Germans to bring the gold back home to the States ☕
I suppose the Johns will probably knock out those dancers first, which might just clear our path to the finals if we're lucky enough🙏 The Frenchmen seem to have had a good rest, so they'll likely crush whoever ends up facing them in the semifinals😢 I'm really hoping luck is on our side and we can somehow manage to take down the French team
I could probably sell you an entire library's worth of books on tractors, and I've even got plenty of material regarding those Volkswagen GTI series races😂
Maybe Nico Rosberg😁—who knows, right? I mean, did you just stumble upon some groundbreaking new way to make money online by starting a thread on this forum?🤷
