Dealing with chronic stress in Health ·
Regarding sleep hygiene, I would strongly suggest establishing a strict routine by going to bed at the exact same time every night; aiming for a consistent eight-hour window—no more, no less—is ideal (personally, for reasons I can't quite fathom, I find I sleep much better without a pillow, whether I'm lying on my stomach or my side).

Furthermore, one must be incredibly vigilant about nutrition, especially when navigating high levels of stress; I’d recommend cutting out coffee, cigarettes, and other stimulants entirely. It is vital to eat regular meals consisting mostly of fruits and vegetables, opting for light fare while minimizing bread intake and eliminating sweets altogether.

Physical activity is equally paramount; if your job requires you to sit behind a desk all day, you simply must make an effort to move once you get home, perhaps by taking long walks or catching up with friends. Engaging in some form of organized sport is also an excellent way to decompress.

It is also critically important to surround yourself with people with whom you can spend time without experiencing even a shred of stress.

Additionally, I have found massage therapy to be immensely helpful; I personally go for a deep tissue massage once a week, and I find it to be incredibly relaxing.

To be perfectly honest, I was a complete wreck for two years straight, but since I started adhering to everything I've outlined above, I have been feeling absolutely wonderful.
