Matthew Young35, brother, I really hope you're just joking here! I honestly can't decide what's more unhinged: this sudden fear of sheep or that ridiculous parable about the wolf and the bell peppers. 🤣

Kyle Campbell4 said:Say whatever you want, but real estate is never going to fail. It’s nothing like those stocks or cryptos you guys obsess over. When the market takes a dive, half the people holding those assets end up in therapy just watching their entire stake evaporate into nothing. With a house, you always have the option to rent it out or sell it.

So then people act surprised when they realize why housing prices have become so inflated! 👍

boldtiger7 said:That is certainly a valid point. I also find myself disliking the other extreme that Kyle Campbell4 describes—that forced lifestyle of constant nomadism where people claim you shouldn't tie yourself down to anything. However, what you're saying holds weight: for most people, the only reliable investment strategy they know is to buy property and rent it out.

Why? Because the American Dream for the average American is to own real estate and live off the rental income! 🎉 😵

It’s our ultimate goal and the standard we strive for. Isn't it true that as soon as anyone makes a bit of money, their very first instinct is to buy some property and start renting it out?

Kyle Campbell4 said:My German sister has completely corrupted my worldview. She approaches life with this mindset where owning a car is considered "unnecessary," and she thinks spending an entire lifetime as a renter with roommates is perfectly fine. To her, having a car or owning a home is viewed as nothing more than an indulgence. Listening to her honestly brings me to the brink of a nervous breakdown. These people up there don't need anything; they label everything as a luxury. Then they have the audacity to claim they are living well while saving money. Of course they are, because they buy groceries on sale, obsess over how much cheaper things are than they are here, split all their housing costs down the middle, and decide that nothing else in life is essential. I personally cannot fathom a life where I am not the owner of my own vehicle and my own home. I think I would lose my mind. They call it luxury, but I tell them it is a necessity in the modern age.

Total Alkar Fury 😁 The real issue isn't that people don't want their own homes; it's that here in America—due to a century of historical instability in this region—real estate is used as a massive vehicle for investment (and let's be honest, money laundering) because we aren't traditionally inclined to invest in actual businesses. This drives prices through the roof and makes it nearly impossible for "regular" folks to actually buy a home.

Americans and real estate—honestly, it’s the greatest love story ever told.

Honestly, every side involved in a war tends to inflate their numbers, often making the losses seem much larger than they really are. I mean, can 14,000 people truly be lost in only 22 days? That's not even close to the scale of Rzhev. Isn't it much easier to track the loss of military hardware, since there's actual visual evidence for that?

If our President starts acting like a Russian asset, why shouldn't we suspect someone with direct business ties to Moscow? That is precisely how you should interpret this pile of nonsense he’s spewing. Let's just add another Russian operative to the list; I'll call him Spivak.

Good grief, first you were yelling about the sourdough, 🤣 and now suddenly he’s a Russian spy? 🤣

Setting aside all that Mexican myth-making, why should Muslims even bother weighing in on a Catholic symbol belonging to French dynasties? 🤣🤣🤣😵

Larry Fox5 said:What a joke of a PR move. Airpower is huge specifically because it lets them regroup and bolster defenses, plus secure better supply lines for gear and personnel.

How can you even imagine moving troops and supplies from the West if the Russians can just smack them down with drones every time they move? It’s impossible...

The smart move would be stationing planes in Poland near Lubin. They could get into Ukraine in no time and grab control over the Ukrainian sky from the Western side. They could even paint NATO jets in Ukrainian colors and put them under their command.
And NATO needs to get those beefed-up missile shields installed on the Polish border ASAP.

It seems nobody here is a field marshal or a military expert, but those planes would basically be clay pigeons given Russia's air superiority in that area—unless, of course, you are advocating for direct NATO involvement. If planes operating out of Poland start hitting Russians, well, that’s essentially World War III; we’d be playing in a completely different league. But if we are strictly talking about Ukraine vs. Russia, those planes won't stand a chance if the Russians can just wipe out every single airfield; they'd be nothing more than sitting ducks. What’s actually vital is air defense, especially those mobile units and handheld gadgets that are so incredibly difficult to locate and neutralize quickly.
Offside (General Discussion) in Soccer ·
When you look at this kind of power imbalance, air superiority isn't even the top priority; what really matters are anti-tank capabilities and man-portable air-defense systems. And let’s not forget the basics—cold, hard cash, food supplies, and general logistics. It's also about more than just boots on the ground; you need those "volunteers" who actually know their stuff, like trained officers and NCOs to help with tactical planning and training.

Honestly, airpower is great for the PR department, but in a situation like this, it's almost useless.

I still can't wrap my head around the Russians; this whole operation doesn't look even remotely well-planned to me. 🤔

Kyle Campbell4 said:Zoki finds it bothersome and views it as some kind of conspiracy, though it isn't even clear why, given that he has never attempted to hide his political leanings. I am standing right there with you regarding freedom of speech and the necessity of pluralism. I personally advocate for such a society, so I wouldn't dream of censoring anyone, not even the late Mandica.

When we talk about spin, it basically means adding extra layers to the truth, right? That seems pretty obvious to me.

Being a Yugoslav is worse than cancer, plain and simple. When it comes to what matters for our national identity, Mandić's lifelong body of work carries far more weight than that horde of self-proclaimed patriots who haven't achieved a single thing in their lives and would probably steal the silver right out of a church.

Mandić loved to push buttons; he was essentially an internet troll before the internet even existed, and honestly, you have to respect him for that.😁 Sure, he was a massive intellectual powerhouse, but let's face it—the internet is mostly just a place for mindless whining. Still, the comparison holds up. I’d bet anything that if there were some massive, ultra-nationalist regime in power, he would have been the very first person at the front lines provoking them, only to end up back in disgrace while half of the Republican Party was busy chanting for some king and the old homeland.☕

So, bottom line: don't do Mandić dirty.☕

wanderingcrane82 said:Hey man, you hit the nail on the head. I definitely stumbled when it comes to politics, though it wasn't because of September—it was because of the... uh, excuse me, the Romani people. Apparently, they flagged my enrollment as hate speech just because I mentioned how one word is enough to describe those folks who grab your hand and cling to your leg right outside the shopping malls...

So I’m reading today that Igor Mandić passed away, and apparently there's talk about burying him in the Hall of Heroes next to someone like Tina Ujević... Honestly, it's just one of those old-school Yugoslav types who never once mourned the loss of the old country. This guy was practically grinning ear to ear back in the 70s when Gotovac and his crew were being thrown the book. Now he wants to rest easy alongside the legends? Please...

We shouldn't disrespect Mandić's legacy. Unlike some others, he was incredibly consistent. Back in the day, during the old regime, he was fiercely targeted and sat right at the top of the "blacklist" in the administration's white papers. While I don't agree with a single thing he said politically, I can certainly respect his unwavering consistency and his sheer intellectual stature. Granted, his recent writings weren't exactly his best work, but I'll chalk that up to the passing years.

He’s just so slick, polished, and frankly, a bit of a salon intellectual—I can already picture his grand visions for the EU's energy policy!

shadowcobra89 said:Honestly, you really don't get it, do you? Truly...

There are a million chances to take swipes at the Republican Party and the rest of them... but that certainly isn't the case with statements where you start relativizing Putin or trying to stir up drama during global events where our biggest allies are looking at you like you've lost your mind...

QUOTE=Justin James10;91600337]If it weren't for that retarded Banet, the rest of his crew is top-notch; they didn't even arrest him as a minister, though two others are under investigation 🙂 But let's just sweep it all under the rug because there's a war going on.

Do you honestly realize that those two things have absolutely nothing to do with one another? What possible connection could Aladrovic have to the war in Ukraine, or perhaps he's out there spitting on it while mocking the leadership of NATO...
Do you really not see how those two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other? What could Aladrovic possibly have to do with the war in Ukraine—or is he out there trashing the leadership of NATO?

I'm with you—how on earth does the war in Ukraine relate to criminals within the government? It makes zero sense to me either.🙂

shadowcobra89 said:I honestly don't see why there's this constant need to justify him by bringing up the Banet case...

If someone is truly incompetent, they should probably just have to endure his outbursts...

Because frankly, all of Europe is looking at us with total confusion due to his statements regarding the war...

It’s just that idiot Banet who’s causing all the trouble! Honestly, the rest of the crew is absolutely top-tier. I mean, they haven't even arrested his minister yet, and there are two others currently under investigation! Can you believe that? 🙂 Is everyone just sweeping everything under the rug now because we're at war? Is that really how we're going to handle this?

Olivia Taylor2 said:It’s that weird dynamic where you support a convicted organization running the country, while also cheering for the one lunatic who publicly opposes them whenever it suits him. It's actually the perfect setup for Zack—he probably feels safest playing it this way.

Oh, please! Now suddenly everyone is acting all quiet about those blatant partisan hacks. It’s almost as if this war arrived exactly on schedule just for them; they’ll sweep everything under the rug and rule forever if they get the chance. Look, I’ll be blunt: Zack might be a total nuisance and a complete slacker (arguably the worst Prime Minister in American history), but at this very moment, he’s the only actual opposition left against this ruling mafia. He might not be much, but at least someone is shaking things up when nobody else will! Is it really a crime for Buha to call out the GOP? Shame on anyone doing that.
