bluemarlin62 said:Hey, I need some help finding a photographer and videographer around the Indianapolis area—and obviously, I need to know what they’re charging :-/

Maybe check out Marin Franov... he usually runs somewhere between $7,500 and $9,000 for the full photo and video package.

You can find more info on him over at WeddingWire.😉

I'm looking for some solid recommendations for a wedding photographer—we’re talking a pretty large crowd, probably around 300 people—ideally someone based in the Indianapolis Metropolitan Area or somewhere nearby. Also, quick question on the logistics: do I really need to have everything booked a full year in advance, or is it doable to pull it together just a few months before the big day? 😁 Thanks!

Marin Franov 🙂

This deal looks like the best value to me:

The Mini Cooper service package includes: $3500

-two separate crews consisting of two videographers and two photographers

* prints ranging from 4x6 to 8x12 inches (color, B&W, or sepia)
* photos organized in a standard leather photo album (B&W) pages
* edited shots using basic filters, presented in (B&W) frames with mats
* all high-resolution photos delivered on a DVD
* coverage at multiple locations

THANK YOU PHOTOS FOR UP TO 50% OF GUESTS

* photos printed on standard quality paper (matte or glossy)

* Full HD video recording + cinematic shots +
steadicam equipment + (VIDEO CRANE if technical conditions permit)
* shooting time lasting until the early morning hours
* full video and audio editing (intro, highlight clips, and wedding ceremony footage, including vows and speeches from the couple and guests...)

* delivery of 5 DVD sets in leather cases + a Blu-Ray disc

* dedicated audio recording and processing
* use of wireless microphones

He does a ton of weddings, so you get a real mixed bag when it comes to reviews—some people think his work is absolutely phenomenal, while others are just completely miserable with the results.

As for me, he did some non-wedding stuff for me a few years back, and honestly? I told myself "never again." It felt like his only real priority was how quickly he could grab the cash and squeeze every last cent out of the client...

You could also look into the catering from Peter and Anna’s—they used to run Fratelli. A friend of mine recently ordered from them through Kevin Smith7 and couldn't stop raving about the food. I've heard their prices are even better than Nutrition's, so maybe it's worth a look? 🙂

Honestly, those guys are a complete disaster. A buddy of mine went all in with them for a party—booked everything through their catering service—and he was left totally disappointed. It was a joke. The guests ended up starving because they served a much smaller menu than what was actually agreed upon. To make matters worse, they tried to pocket the lamb and pork that were supposed to be part of the main spread just for themselves. Total amateur move.

So, the catering from Sam's Deli was an absolute disaster—just completely dried out. They decided to prep everything a few days too early instead of sticking to the plan, and instead of the high-quality prosciutto we actually ordered, they swapped it out for some cheap fig slices. To top it all off, the cheese had already gone bad. Just a total mess.

Honestly, things have gone downhill fast over the last few years—it’s not just me noticing, either. This isn't some isolated incident, either; I've seen plenty of people voicing the exact same frustrations lately.

It’s gorgeous 😍
But honestly, it hits me a bit weird—maybe it's just because I grew up in Chicago where we don't skip the appetizers before the soup, or where you can actually get decent lamb and roasted pork.
The seating layout is fine, though—it isn't shaped like a T or an L, so nobody ends up stuck in a blind spot missing the action.

Out in the Midwest, you usually get two full dinners—the first one around 9 or 10 PM, and then the second one rolls out around 1 or 2 AM... it’s not like how you guys do it in the city, where you get soup at 10, then the next course at 11, and so on. 😍 We Midwesterners actually like to eat so we can get back to the dance floor, rather than waiting around all night. ☕

I remember the first time I went to a wedding in the city and we had no idea how their schedule worked 🤣 we were absolutely starving by midnight before any actual food showed up. 🤣🤣🤣 But hey, we learned our lesson. 🙏

I’ve been eyeing the Zelenkov venue, but honestly, the price tag feels a bit steep. Don't get me wrong, the space itself looks incredible and the service seems top-notch, but I can't help feeling like I might be overpaying. I’m trying to find something with a similar vibe but maybe a little more budget-friendly. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of a decent alternative, I’d really appreciate it!

Look, if you go with Peter and Anne’s place, you really can't go wrong.👍

their website), and renting out the hall with service included comes to $6000, plus you have to account for the covers at $2.00

- Bizovac Springs, Thermia Hotel: $103 all-inclusive options, or just rent the hall for $33 per head, or go with the $155 per person menu for the first two dinners)

Thanks so much for the heads-up, you really helped me out here... I guess I'm just a bit stuck on the details regarding Visnjevac and Bizovac. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what "hall rental" actually entails in practice. Like, if I go with Bizovac, am I paying the menu price of $103 per person and then tacking on an extra $33 per person just for the room itself?

Also, does anyone know what "all-inclusive" actually looks like there—does that include things like dessert and drinks, or is it just the basics??

thanks...

Thanks for the info, you were super helpful... I'm just trying to figure out the deal for Visnjevac and Bizovac—I'm not quite clear on what "hall rental" actually entails? For example, at Bizovac, would I pay the menu price of $103/person and then an extra $33/person just for the room itself?

Also, do you know what "all inclusive" usually means there—does that include desserts and drinks??

thanks...

So, regarding the Petra and Anna hall—they don't really do a separate hall rental fee... they just have set menus that list everything included. Honestly, if you want the best value, go with the JURE menu; that one is totally loaded—two dinners, booze, roast pork, lamb... I'm not 100% sure about the desserts, though... but you can check the prices on their site, and the staff is already factored into those rates. The only reason I heard of anyone paying a rental fee was because one wedding party had a deal worked out ages and ages ago... 👍

Thomas Moore28 said:did you check if those programs even work on Windows 7?
which ones are we talking about?

@domo1977
what were you doing right when the BSOD hit?

It’s that tennis software, OnCour... I reached out to their support team and they basically told me they've never heard of this happening—apparently, everything runs perfectly fine for them on Windows 7...🤷

From what I gather, this AppHangB1 error popping up for everyone lately isn't some simple fix—there's no "magic pill" for it. People are seeing it hit them on Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Word... I even tried a clean install of Windows, but no luck there either.🤷I honestly have no clue what else to try to get this thing running properly... I launch it up, it looks fine for a few seconds, and then the whole system just freezes up on me and I'm stuck.🤷

Well, I tried that—nothing. Absolutely zero movement. 🤷

Anyone out there?

Well, I'm back again. 🙄 I've run into a wall with two specific programs—they worked flawlessly on Windows XP, but now that I've moved to Windows 7, they're just refusing to cooperate. 🤷

So, here's the deal: firstly,
I have this one program, and every time I try to install it, it gets right to the finish line and then—bam—this error pops up:
http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/4102/problem1d.jpg

🤷Does anyone know how to fix this? Why am I getting this specific error only with this software? 🙄

Second issue: it involves a different program. I managed to get it installed without any drama, but once I actually launch it, it freezes up after a few moments. Then I get that classic Windows prompt telling me to search the web for a solution or just kill the process. When I actually dig into the error details, this is what shows up:

I've already scoured Google and haven't found anything useful. I even went as far as contacting customer support—since I'm using the legitimate, paid version—and they basically just told me "it works fine for everyone else on Windows 7," implying the problem is on my end. 🤷(Which is hilarious, considering it worked perfectly on XP...) I'm honestly at a loss here. Has anyone dealt with something similar or have any ideas on how to resolve this?
Keyboard issues - help! in Computer Peripherals ·
So, I’ve run into a bit of a headache on one of my machines. It’s acting incredibly picky—it refuses to recognize any Apple keyboard 🤷 whether I plug them in via USB or use the standard port. The weird part? As soon as I swap in something that isn't that brand, everything works perfectly fine 🙄. I’ve cycled through maybe four or five different units at this point, and it’s just total silence from the system whenever an Apple device is involved, yet other brands work without a hitch... Meanwhile, I tested those exact same problematic Apple keyboards on a different computer and they worked flawlessly (in fact, I'm typing this on one right now) 🤷

What on earth am I looking at here? 🤷

It’s honestly pretty pathetic—if a massive community like this one can't find a dedicated space for OPP discussions, then what's the point? We have plenty of room for all these various trolling threads that provide zero value to anyone and never will...
Easy ways to make some quick cash? in Miscellaneous ·
Look, if you're looking for the easiest way to make some quick cash, you might want to consider the oldest profession in the book... You can start out pulling in maybe a hundred bucks here and there, but once you actually prove you've got what it takes? Well, let's just say the rates go up pretty fast. 🙂
DraftKings in Economy ·
Look, you can't really use an Intel debit card as a credit card—if that's even the right way to put it—so it won't work for that purpose...

You could try using something like PayPal or Moneybookers... or whatever other third-party services they happen to support. But honestly, if you’re planning on depositing anything remotely substantial—say, at least $100—it’s probably not worth your while because those transaction fees will absolutely eat you alive.

Oh, and you could technically try a wire transfer, but there's a catch: banks can be real sticklers about that since you're dealing with a sportsbook. They aren't exactly supposed to be sending money abroad for that kind of thing (legal restrictions and all that...), so whether it goes through or not really just depends on how much of a headache the teller decides to give you that day...

If you ask me, the easiest and least painful way to handle this is to just find someone who already has some cash sitting in their MB account and settle up with them directly.
