American Communism! in World ·
Samuel Brown88 said:Man, what "socialism" or... Communism...

Bottom line is, the government shouldn't be stepping in like this...

Once the crisis passes... but what if these companies don't even make it through? Who picks up the tab? Some wealthy CEO who's been raking it in for years isn't gonna pay... it's always gonna fall on the taxpayers, aka the people...

Sure, surplus is social property, but so is a deficit or a loss... so the real question is, who keeps covering these companies' losses if they just keep bleeding money?

That's just not how capitalism works...

The government should stick to social safety nets and helping workers by cutting taxes or whatever... stimulus checks and stuff... maybe the Federal Reserve messing with interest rates, but that's about it...

Thanks for the response. I guess crimsonranger38 pretty much covered everything for you.
Just to add a few more companies that the government decided not to bail out.
I suppose one has to wonder why the US didn't step in to bail out the banks that were teetering on the edge of bankruptcy and triggering this entire economic meltdown. It’s curious why they didn't extend a hand to the investment funds either. Instead, it seems the plan is to rescue the auto industry just to save a few specific people's skins. Capitalism, by its very definition, should mean that if you perform well, you rise to the top, and if you fail, you simply cease to exist. The government really shouldn't be intervening at all; honestly, any time the state steps in like this, it feels like nothing more than pure socialism. 🙂

Samuel Brown88, I am in complete agreement with you. 🙂
velvetmaker3, you are entirely mistaken; this level of government intervention is nothing short of pure Socialism. I suppose Karl Marx predicted this long ago. 🙂

I suppose you could say these sliders are the invention of the century. There’s even a theory that the Greeks went to war with Troy over the recipe rather than Helen. I suspect she was actually the only one who knew how to grill them properly before the Turks took over the craft. From there, the Romans picked it up—after all, isn't it said that all roads lead to Rome because of the food? Eventually, the Turks passed the recipe along again, and when the Sultan passed away in Canada, the locals there took over and really perfected the technique. So now, that specific recipe belongs to Canada. Though, who knows where it might end up next. As the old proverb goes, if you try to grab everything at once, you'll end up with nothing.🙂

😎 😎 😎

Forget about intimacy; honestly, those moments were pure bliss. You just lie back and think, "Alright, take me to Chicago for some deep-dish pizza." Then, after a few days of eating pizza in Chicago, you head over to New York for a beer, and later on, you stop by Los Angeles for dessert. It was truly wonderful. 🙂

I suppose the only thing they actually mastered was that Roman concept of a portable bed, where people would just lie down while others drove them around. Honestly, even today's most high-end luxury vehicles basically offer the exact same thing. 🙂

...to my dear Sevdalija...

Looking at the signature—it’s pretty hard to miss—you've got Beriucconi, Berlsloooni... it clearly points right toward Berlusconi. 😂

Haha, honestly, I am just so incredibly proud to have Italian blood in my veins! I swear, I see it all the time—people constantly trying to lecture me on "culture," acting like they're some kind of experts—but please, give me a break. Culture? Yeah, right... Italy!!! 😍

I can barely make out your accent; you strike me as being somewhat Italian. Mamma mia, you're constantly gesturing with your hands and spitting. It’s like a mix of Canadian and Italian heritage. That kind of thing is practically endemic. You should probably go find some security, because people like that aren't exactly common. I'll expect to see you on the beach next year at the Riviera Maya. Don't worry, I'll recognize you easily.🙂

Anthony James2 said:Back in the day, an Italian actually knew how to build a car and be a soldier. Maybe people from Dalmoš have a clue. 😍😍😍

People from the Gulf Coast had their own skills, they aren't Italian, so let's not conflate the two. I mean, look at that Italian tower—it shot 60 feet up and then started leaning over during a pizza party.🙂
If that thing had been twice as high, it probably would have just laid down flat. 🙂

Terry Sanders67 said:I’ve spent so much time overanalying everything—constantly questioning who our actual allies are in this neighborhood, wondering who we can truly count on...

And then, out of nowhere, look at the Italians... I mean, they’re actually looking after our crown—this 545-year-old legacy—safekeeping it right over at Popet. 😁 👍

Ohoooooooooo............

Honestly, it all makes sense now—why my grandmother’s eyes would always light up and she’d get this blissful little smile every single time someone mentioned the word "Italian"... specifically talking about those WWII-era Italians... 😁

So, I’ve made my decision: starting tomorrow, I’m going full throttle on that Italiano lifestyle. I’m embracing it. And once I’ve done that, I’m heading straight to Italy to track down my roots... 😂 😂 😂

Honestly, during the war, the Italians always looked the best in paintings. When you see them with those feathered hats and rifles, you'd think you were looking at some epic hero, but nope, just an Italian. 🙂

Anthony James2 said:Honestly, it doesn't matter who is kissing up to whom or when. All that matters is that everyone's having a good time. It's basically an old-school North American gangbang. 🤣🤣🤣

I suppose Americans will be catering to Mexicans, while Canadians deal with those from Mexico.
Good grief, now we're supposed to believe our enemies are doing the same thing... 🙂🙂

I suppose the Mexicans are busy sucking up to the Canadians, though I wonder who Americans might choose to cater to instead. Maybe we could have just started a poll here to see which groups Americans and Canadians would prefer to appease. 🙂

Ooh la la, I think I'll take a chocolate one. 🙂
Canadian women love to lick; they keep licking away while he just sits there stone cold. 🙂

I wonder how much brown-nosing is going on now that Canada is the first one from the former America to recognize Mexico's independence.
Maybe they just enjoy sucking up to people... 🙂

I originally intended to post this under the movies section, but I suppose this leans more toward politics... I recently came across this article in the New York Post... what are your thoughts on this?

Rewriting the truth about World War II just to build up walls... I wonder where this is all heading.🙂 🙂
