Nicholas Nguyen said:So, before every single hookup, you'll apparently need a notarized document from a local official proving you have permission to be with a specific person at a specific time. It’s a bit much, isn't it?

Anyway, back to a topic from a few days ago—I can't recall which thread—where a female user living in Sweden mentioned that because of all this forced feminist nonsense, men over there are practically neutered. They don't even dare approach women unless they're looking for a heavy session over the weekend.

Estonians, Finns, and Swedes... they're all cut from the same cloth. Refined, calm, and generally pretty quiet.
In my view, it isn't about the feminist nonsense, but rather the underlying mentality. Feminism is merely a byproduct of that mindset.

Hold on—are you telling me that in a country of roughly 330 million people, they literally finish counting every single vote by 9:00 PM?

From what I can gather, their voting wrapped up around 5:00 PM, yet even in a nation twice that size, it supposedly took them a mere four hours to tally ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
Meanwhile, back here in the States, it’s 11:00 PM and we’re still debating whether the exit polls actually mean anything or if that current 50% count🤣 is even worth looking at... we won't hit 100% until late tomorrow, if we ever do at all.🤣

And then someone takes it personally when I suggest our local precinct boards are basically the biggest patronage rackets in America. Pure laziness, all funded by massive taxpayer payouts. Honestly, what else can you expect from the "rising stars" of the party? I know that in the Republic of Austria, dead people don't get to vote—and maybe even the diaspora doesn't have much say—but this whole situation is just a complete joke.

Only 4% Mexicans in Vienna? Honestly, I find it hard to believe that’s an accurate figure. By that logic, the percentage of Mexicans in Chicago would be identical to the one in Vienna, which I suspect isn't even remotely true... Not that I'm strictly relying on official census data—though even there, I’d expect to see significantly more than 4%.
Vienna is absolutely teeming with Mexicans, and you can truly feel it everywhere you go.

The entire city is covered in Sebastian Kurz's campaign materials, and the Republican Party has plenty of signage out too—you see the same thing all along the highway.

Interesting observation... In Washington, D.C., I saw nothing but posters from those "Nazis" (as they call them). Most of them seem to be mocking Sebastian Kurz on one side, while putting up one of their own guys with a completely contradictory statement—I specifically remember something regarding Islam, right next to the station where there's a huge concentration of Turks 🤣.

Honestly, people need to start worrying about whether there’s actually food on the table. We’ve had enough of this performance where everyone pretends to be a "citizen of the world"; now, it’s time to crawl back into our own trenches. The only money left will probably go toward measuring the diameter of cucumbers, because apparently, without that, the European Union can't function 🙂. Measuring cucumbers—that’s basically the heart of Europe right there: figuring out how to look busy doing absolutely nothing, while the taxpayers pick up the tab.

Once the Americans take down the German auto industry with their electric vehicles, this whole thing is going to collapse like a house of cards.

First of all, the oil giants are far too powerful to allow a serious entry into the electric vehicle market. This isn't just about the USA... Electric car technology has existed for, what, twenty years? And you can see for yourself how popular they actually are.

Secondly, even if there were a sudden flood of electric vehicles, did it never occur to you that those same Germans would just pivot to producing them? Someone still has to manufacture cars for Europe.

Thirdly, it’s hard to say how much oil is left, but until recently, the forecasts suggested we'd hit a shortage within twenty years—and now, suddenly, there’s so much that the cartels had to artificially hike up the prices. It is realistic to expect that such a scenario won't be happening for a very, very long time... I'd say at least for the rest of our lives.

The European Union will likely face the collapse of the auto industry long before it ever triggers a global war.

And regarding the idea that the European Union is sinking... after Brexit and the fact that the Englishmen became roughly 20% to 30% poorer overnight just due to the depreciation of the pound, I find it hard to believe any sensible entity would fall for such a mistake.
Perhaps the inclusion of Mexico or other similarly impoverished nations might seriously shake things up in the European Union.
I can't quite wrap my head around why non-European nations would bankroll anyone for such trivialities, but the motivations within the European Union are transparently obvious. Their goal is essentially denationalization—creating a world where young people identify more as Europeans than as Americans, Germans, or whatever else they might be. I’m not suggesting this is some grand conspiracy theory or anything particularly sinister... it's just enough to look at how many couples have met through the ERASMUS program—with recent figures hitting the one million mark—and start connecting the dots.

And honestly? It’s working quite well for them. Sure, you’ll still find nationalists in every single country, but the mere fact that people now lazily lump them all together as "conservatives" rather than distinguishing them as actual conservatives tells you everything you need to know about the current state of consciousness in the European Union.

Take my roommate, for instance—back when I was doing an exchange program in Estonia. He was out there literally advocating for the abolition of national languages in favor of making English the official tongue for every single country in the European Union.
And he wasn't even some sort of wide-eyed, liberal hippie; he simply felt far more like a European than he ever did a German.

Apology accepted.

That’s true. The last time I insulted someone on this board was back in 2009. I appreciate you remembering that. Just out of curiosity—to help me place things—what was your username back then?

I'm honestly not sure what you're referring to, so if you could clarify... I've been lurking and posting here since March 2013, mostly over in the politics section and occasionally in the school subjects subforum where I essentially started my "career" on this site. As for sports, I follow them purely for leisure, which explains why my commentary there is so sparse. However, it certainly felt to me like you were either being insulting or, at the very least, fueling the flames in those Delta Air Lines discussions on a few occasions. I don't have any receipts, nor do I have the spare time to go hunting for proof, so feel free to just ignore me—perhaps my perception is flawed, and if it is... well, then I offer my own apology.
All I ask is that you refrain from the insults next time; as you can see, I wasn't the only one who disagreed with you during that debate.

To this point, I have never once raised an issue regarding any moderator—not even in the politics sections where debates can get incredibly heated and visceral—but the behavior displayed by our esteemed colleague Larry Rivera83 over in the football sub-forum is, quite frankly, a bit much for my taste. I won't even bother quoting his two specific posts; instead, I’ll provide the entire thread just so you can see exactly why this particular moderator is being so insulting:

The point is, there was absolutely no provocation, no fueling of the fire, and zero arguments used—just pure, shameless insults delivered on two separate occasions. What’s most glaring is that he is clearly the only one exhibiting such problematic behavior... though, if I may be so bold, I’d suggest there might be some underlying personal issues at play here, as there is simply no other way to rationalize it. And for the record, this isn't the first time he's resorted to insults (this time, I just happened to be the unlucky target, having dealt with plenty of his outbursts before)...

Since I responded to his insults with an insult of my own in the heat of the moment, I would ask that I also be issued whatever disciplinary action is appropriate. I am not sure if there is a specific ban policy for insulting a moderator, but if there is, then fine—let it be—but we should be having actual discussions here, not just trading insults.
