David Bishop4 said:I’ve started a new medication regimen: Seroxat 1 tablet in the morning and Fevarin half a dose in the evening. I also have Misar SR 1 mg and Helex 0.25 mg on hand to take as needed.

Well, please do let me know how you settle in with the Wellbutrin, because I’m actually taking that myself. I'd be quite interested to hear about any side effects or anything else you might notice... 😉

Raymond Gomez2 said:That's great news... if it really settles down in about two weeks, that actually makes me feel a lot better. I don't know if I could keep taking them if I felt like this constantly. See, for me, it only lasts about an hour at most, then everything clears up—I don't deal with any nausea later in the day. As for the other side effects, I've lost my appetite, but honestly, I don't mind that too much.😍

Well, yeah, you just have to hang in there; it’ll pass eventually.
I’d love to hear from anyone else regarding how this stuff affects their appetite or weight. 😁
For my part, my hunger levels seem mostly the same, yet since I started the medication, I’ve managed to drop about six or seven pounds. I really don't see any other explanation besides these pills, especially since I don't hit the gym and I tend to indulge in way too much chocolate and sweets... though, I suppose it’s entirely possible it’s just a coincidence. 🤷

Raymond Gomez2 said:Hey there,
I've been on Effexor for about ten days now. Every single time I take a pill, I get hit with this intense nausea that lingers for anywhere from thirty minutes to an hour. Is this actually normal? Has anyone else dealt with similar side effects from this medication?

I'm not on that specific antidepressant myself—I'm taking something else entirely—but I definitely went through something very similar. For me, though, the feeling didn't strike right after taking the dose, but rather about six or seven hours later. It seems like these side effects are just part of the process; personally, my nausea was at its absolute worst during those first two weeks, but now that I've been on it for a month, almost all of the side effects have finally cleared up.
It should eventually subside with time.

And I suppose I’ll just keep pressing on with this approach for now, so we shall see how things settle after a month has passed 🙂

Feverin, he’s also an older medication...
My doctor suggested taking it at night, and even though the instructions explicitly say to take it in the evening, it just won't let me sleep when I do. 😢
But then again, maybe it’s just my body trying to adjust to everything, since I've only been on it for about eleven days now...

I was wondering if it’s actually okay to switch up my antidepressant schedule—the one I usually take at night—and start taking it first thing in the morning instead? It seems to be keeping me wide awake lately, which makes it pretty useless right before bed...🙂

shadowbear9 said:It doesn't affect weight. At least, it didn't for me. I suspect your nausea is just because you're taking too much right out of the gate. I made the mistake of trying to get better overnight by swallowing full pills way too soon, and I ended up shaking like I'd been drinking coffee all night and was vomiting by morning. You can't go wrong by lowering the dose... just take it easy with this stuff. Seriously, I'm telling you, I felt terrible whenever I took too much. That’s why when I was switching things up, I was so worried and asked my doctor if the dosage causes nausea. She just told me it was a small dose and not to worry about it...

It's nothing, shadowbear9.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience 😉

shadowbear9 said:Look, I consider myself something of an expert when it comes to Paxil. You really, really have to be careful with it. I stopped taking it about two or three years ago because, frankly, I wasn't taking it properly—I was throwing up and dealing with terrible insomnia because of it. The point is, it’s an excellent medication, but you shouldn't jump straight into a full dose. For the first ten days, maybe just take a third of the dose, then for the next ten days, try half, and only then move to the full amount. If you do that, it won't keep you awake... I've been on it correctly for two months now and I don't have any side effects anymore. As far as the effects go, I also think it works quite quickly on your mood.🤷 At least, I know I've noticed some changes myself...

Thanks for the reply, 😉
but since I've never taken an antidepressant before, I'm mostly just trying to follow exactly what my doctor prescribed. He told me that after five or six days of taking a half-dose, I could move up to the full dose, but I'm honestly not sure if I'm allowed to make that kind of adjustment on my own without checking with him first. 🤷
I have been dealing with some nausea, though it only seems to happen early in the morning, and on that very first day, I had such a strange night filled with these really bizarre dreams. I was also wondering, does this medication have any impact on weight? I'm not entirely certain if it's the medicine or something else, but I've lost a little weight lately, even though I've been indulging quite a bit during the Christmas holidays. 😁

So, I’ve been taking Tylenol since last Friday—it's been about seven days now, taken in the evening—but today I actually took 100mg after having already had 50mg earlier. My doctor mentioned that it was supposed to have a bit of a sedative effect on me, but honestly, it seems to be doing the exact opposite by keeping me wide awake. I don't typically struggle with sleep issues, yet here I am, staying up incredibly late and just tossing and turning because I can't seem to drift off. Has anyone else experienced this kind of restlessness with it?
And there's one more thing; I'm not entirely sure if it's actually starting to kick in already or if I'm just experiencing a placebo effect, but I definitely feel this surge of energy. My mood has shifted so much that I can't even begin to describe how high my spirits are; I feel almost constantly euphoric. Even more strange is that I find myself unable to cry, which is a huge change since I used to tear up quite frequently. I'm really hoping that these intense shifts eventually settle down into something more stable. 🤷
thanks Daisy 😉
I was wondering if the doctor could possibly write my referral without including a specific date? How does that process even work??

The situation is that I'm heading out to pick up my prescriptions tomorrow, but my psychiatrist has me scheduled for an appointment on January 24th. If I get the referral tomorrow, it'll only be valid for a month, which doesn't really help me much at all. I was really hoping to just settle everything in one trip tomorrow so I don't have to make the trek out there a second time.

driftinggull21 said:Alternatively, just call him if you have his number and verify it yourself.

That information is on the hospital's internal network, and I don't have his direct contact info anywhere else; my only real option would be to call the main reception desk at the medical center and see if they can point me in the right direction.🤷

It’s possible; I suppose I’ll just have to recount exactly how he laid it all out for me during our conversation, thanks 😉

Oh goodness, my brain is just completely fried today; I was typing in such a rush that I ended up messing up all my punctuation..😬

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me 😉
but now I’m even more confused than I was before. During our actual conversation, he specifically told me to take the Faverin right before bed, suggesting it would help me drift off easier and all that. But then, seeing how he wrote it down in the official report... I honestly have no idea what I should do now..😕

I just got my prescription for Faverin and Xanax, but I am a bit stuck on the instructions for the Faverin; it says 100mg 1/2,00 for the first 5 days and then 1,00..
I am honestly a little confused by those notations—does that mean I should take half a tablet for the first five days and then move up to a full one?

As for the Xanax, the label just says "as needed" (p.r.n.)?
Thank you so much! 😉

That is precisely what I was aiming to say myself, 😬
I have those orange ones from C&A, and they aren't shallow at all—they fit perfectly.

Why on earth would anyone call it senseless?
Jeans recommendations? in Fashion ·
The absolute best pair of jeans I have ever invested in came from Guess, which was actually about five or six years ago now, and honestly, they still look fantastic; the quality is just exceptional and the fit is perfect on me, easily outclassing everything else in my closet... they were quite a splurge at the time, I recall, but looking back, they were worth every single penny, though I think I might have picked them up at a Shoe Bu Do store or somewhere similar.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether it's actually safe to take Lexapro and Valium at the same time?
